How funny on the cows! If you remember, I just went thru Slt Lake on my way to Denver. Before I got to Utah on Hwy 140, I was stopped by sooo many cows and babies. It WAS so cute. I grew up with a few cows so it brought back memories. I was finally able to move when the next wave of cows stopped me. Once the cloud of dust cleared, there were 3 cowboys riding 3 of the tallest horses I've ever seen! I was videoing the cows. As they came up by my car, I said "if those cows didn't make my day, you three sure did!" They just laughed! I'm sure once they got past, they said "what a crazy old bat!"

I highly suggest browning several pounds of hamburger and freezing it in ziplock freezer bags, it can be used for tacos, spaghetti, stroganoff, basically anything you need hamburger for. You can do the same thing with chicken. Having a baby is the perfect time to use an air fryer. It’s nice that baby should arrive during warmer weather… sandwich’s and salads will taste yummy. There are so many yummy pasta salads that include fruit, great for summertime. I learned a long time ago to put an “X” on any canned goods, or bags of pasta, and other items, if I bought them for a certain recipe. Pulled pork freezes great, and makes a lot. Load quart size freezer bags, flatten, stack, freeze, pull out, defrost, and voila! The key is to think ahead and stock up on what you will need (with the exception of fresh fruits and veggies) The fact that you will be living and hanging out in two houses, might be tricky… but living in the new house will definitely be more convenient for running to the grocery store for last minute items ❤❤❤

Good advice! I buy ground beef in bulk at Costco and brown the entire thing with onions and bell peppers and freeze in 1-2 pound portions. It makes life so much simpler. I use it for spaghetti sauce used for spaghetti and lasagna, chili, burritos, taco salad, veggie beef soup, nachos, stroganoff, bell peppers, etc.

Freeze as individual bags. When ready to eat, microwave 15 seconds, remove from bag (before cheese gets too melty), roll up in a tortilla and heat another 15 sec. Bam!

Trent, way to go with the water bottle! A suggestion: when the baby is born, buy her some special jewelry, to thank her for carrying the babies and giving birth to them (your part in it is so small) that, and flowers. Show her how much you appreciate her getting morning sickness, being tired, blowing up like a balloon, lending her body so that you and her can have a family. LOL!! We - well actually my wife - had seven children. We were impatient sometimes -my second child decided to test our patience while we had to move at that time, and so I left a day later. But they all came in time - the Lord knows the day and hour even the second. He has it all in his hands and wait patiently for Him. The only person who got impatient we me was a nurse. When she asked me how many children we had I answered "One and a half dozen" which she interpreted as 18. No, only 7 that we were blessed with and we loved them all, except that my wife has passed away 12 years ago, and now the children and 23 grandchildren have only me as a surviving grandfather who loves all of them, but they live too far away. @Trent and Allie In case you're not already aware, Utah is a single party recording state. Which means you don't need the other parties consent to record them or their property that's visible from public roads, public lands, or any place where there is not a reasonable expectation of privacy. Record those cows till your hearts content and tell the rancher to pound sand.

Vacuum seal it if you freeze it.

I've done all these. Dollar tree sells smaller tins that work for one meal and fit in the freezer well. Meatloaf can be made in muffin tins so you have single servings. French toast and pancakes freeze well also. There are soooo many crockpot meals you can mix and put in Ziploc, the freeze in flat bricks and are perfect for new moms, crockpot meals are hard to overcook if you forget about them for a bit, and take almost no effort.
