she actually didn't say anything about the region itself, apart from the very, very basic lowdown on where it is located and how to get there. Not much in the way of landscape description or historical insight. Don't expect much more from Americans.

Ok, well, I've visited Altai last year in September, we drove with a few of my comrades from the city of Omsk through Novosibirsk in my buddy's RAV4 all the way to Tashanta via the Chuyskiy trakt (pass, road, highway, I don't even know what the correct word would be in English). And I was confident that I had been to Altai, but watching this video I'm having second thoughts. There seems to be way more to see than what we saw during our trip.

I've recently discovered your channel and subscribed! Great video. I'm from London and want to drive my own car to Siberia next year or in 2022. (I'm really used to long distance driving in my 2 cars and for my job). I have just 1 issue. When I was looking at getting my Visa, it says that I have to book accommodation in advance and send off proof before my Visa can be granted. I always thought that camping in Russia was impossible for tourists, due to this? How did you overcome this problem? I wouldn't mind spending a few nights in a hotel, but I would love to Wild camp too. Also what month did you travel, as the weather and scenery looks amazing, so I be would looking at going at the same time of year as you. Any info will help a lot. Thanks for an amazing video

Being Russian i faced the same problem going on a road trip to EU some years ago. I literally had to book my hotels for the missing dates right from the visa center. Although i finally sticked to those bookings i guess i could have just cancelled them after getting my visa. a bit cheaty but i guess would have worked just fine.
