I think I understand now. Doll maker was used to get quick hacks but that meant you had to guess a random door and hope it was correct. Only way you can bypass that guess was to beat it in under 24 mins. I think he found that that if you go to the third wiki, it will also trigger the fast hacks but without that guessing aspect

There's a key cue he purchases, which notifies him when a page has a key. The first key he found because Noir opens the window to his left when he finds the first key, so he can find one key without the cue.

With that said, I read comments! What’s the trigger to know a website could have a key? Dist would say “oh god” on a site with a lot of text. How did he know that would be it? (Did he eliminate all other options?) I know only some websites could have a key for each wiki.

There's a cue he purchases to know when a site has a key. The first key can be found by the window opening after going to the trigger website. When he says "oh god" on the web code pages, its because he has to click through the text and hope to find the trigger point, as its easier if the key is in the source, as it will be visible. Wiki 1 is given to the player, Wiki 2 is part of a random 'real' website's homepage or homepage source in the first wiki, and wiki 3 is always given by solving the puzzle on 'Rule of 3'. To explain what we mean by 'real', there are five types of websites: fake websites, which don't have a chance for a key or wiki; real websites, which can have keys and/or wikis; the wiki websites; timed websites, which are real websites which may only be accessed during certain minute values each hour, mostly 00-30 or 45-59; and The Doll Maker, which is a website which triggers the ability to be hacked as if you'd found a key or finished Rule of 3 but starts 'The Doll Maker sidequest', where you need to help a creep satisfy his need for young women to convert into living dolls or otherwise be murdered by him. Every page has a source page, which is an additional space for a key or wiki to show up.
