'what makes you get up in the morning'? when I wake up I feel like some one had only just finished beating me up. Then the day goes down hill from there. I get up everyday because I do not want to give in to it. I can't read now, or listen to audio books. Cooking is a no now. Channels like this are what give me a boost. I 'live the moment through you'.

Cannot wait to see how you are after the ceremony!! Always struggled with PTSD and depression, and Brother's Green got me into cooking as a therapy a few years ago - I cannot thank you enough. Been curious about ayahuasca so please feel comfortable enough to make a whole video on it! Seeing this fresh start is so gratifying.

Right on Josh! I've been watching your vids for years now... This is gonna be a perfect fit for your style. Nice call!!! I'm a graduate of Geoff Lawtons PDC (Permaculture Design Course) and I love when you share one of the ah-ha moments we all get when learning the design science, that is Permaculture. Check out the 7 layers of a tropical rain forest if you can. And I want to thank you for all that you've taught me in cooking... You are a great inspiration!!! Safe journeys old soul... Safe journeys!

Here's a thing. If you do another dancing while cooking vid - we're all cool. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed that. I'm partially disabled and I knackered up my back (AGAIN!!!!) dancing to that and spent about four days lying on a plank of wood. And it was the BEST reason I've had for lying on a plank of wood. (Usually if my back gives out it's because a muscle has spasmed while I'm taking a shower or an ankle has turned while I'm stepping off a curb - this time I spent my time recuperating with a smile on my face and thinking: "Definitely worth it!"). It's something I think able-bodied people don't get: the joy I get from dancing is more than worth the pain I get from it. And dancing while cooking is the kind of rare joy I never knew existed until you introduced me to the idea. (Do another dance vid and I'll have your babies - I'm a man but I'll find a way!) The other thing I love about your new channel is that you're looking at gardening. Again - this is very personal to me. When I broke my back there wasn't much internal debate about whether I learned to walk again. It just had to be done. I was a single man and self-employed and simply had to regain some realistic mobility to earn a living again. There was nothing heroic about it. The Hallmark movie about my 'struggle' would last about 23 minutes (including ad breaks). There wasn't a single 'heroic' thing about it - it was all taking varying degrees of pain-killers and following a pretty boring exercise regime. The task I set myself was turning the concrete backyard (onto which I'd finally fallen - after a couple of brief stops on a brick wall and several concrete steps) into a garden. People won't understand this - but I couldn't sell my house because I'd have made so much of a loss - so I decided to change my environment. I spent about two years doing a bit of desultory hitting concrete with a borrowed sledge-hammer (to very little effect) and then watched a documentary that said boiling water freezes better and more quickly than cold water. So everytime the weather people said there was going to be a freezing spell in London I'd have my slippers on and a boiling kettle (I don't think you have electric kettles in the US) and would pour boiling water into the cracks in the concrete. And - sure enough it cracked up the concrete enough so I could move it. If this were a Hallmark movie I'd have gone on to win the Chelsea Flower Show. *SPOILER ALERT* I didn't. Instead, I ended up with a vaguely serviceable scrappy garden in which I could read the last book in the Harry Potter series while drinking incredibly cheap red wine. And loads of bumblebees moved into create their own colony in the 'rockery' I'd created to use all the old concrete (basically - it was all the old concrete lumps I'd lumped in a pile and then sprinkled a couple of bags of compost over in the hope something might grow on it). Why have I written all this (apart from needing it to get it out of my system for years)? I think you're doing the right thing, man. Keep it up.

Hey, well done!!! I hurt my back and by absolute chance got given CBD Oil and from the first dose it has made me pain free. I was in chronic moderate to severe pain which nothing alleviated until the CBD Oil. It was as if a miracle happened overnight. I was cautiously happy for about 10 days and then I got angry, but seriously very angry. You see, I had gone to 4 doctors in the 7 years after I hurt my back and not one of them suggested it. So just sharing in case it can help you too.
@darriendastar39415 жыл бұрын
@@WhaleTart I have an intolerance for cannabis. It's one of the great sorrows of my life. If I smoke it or ingest it or even spend time with people smoking it, I get the most godawful headache. I have no moral or political objection to anyone else using it (I've actively sought out flatmates who've smoked dope - so long as the window was open - than heavy drinkers), but for me it just replaces one pain with another. And I've always been jealous of people who can use it with impunity. I'm so glad it worked for you. I love it when I hear stories of people finding something that actually works. You must have known what it was like for those seven years when all you felt was pain (which is frequently as boring a lifestyle as it is painful) and then you hear that something has worked for someone else and it cheers you up. It convinces you that there's always hope. :-) Thank you :-)

I want to know where Jacqui is. They just bought a house in Colorado; now he is wandering around in Peru. He just got married. Ayuhuasca is going to rewire your brain. That is not the answer, tripping out on drugs. What is the question even? I thought Brother's Green worked because it was like a family drama mixed with a cooking show. There were two strong personalities vying for the same topic. I think that is where the answer is, two people working together in separate ways for a common end. Mike trying to make the perfect sandwich or perfect sourdough bread, okay but boring. Josh trying to trip out and find some new way of doing things, that can get confusing Together, Josh freaking out Mike with his wild ways, and then Mike dragging Josh back to earth with his practicality, that made some kind of sense somewhere that was interesting and entertaining.

Now that you're done with Brothers Green, you should try eating raw meat. Ever since I found raw meat eating channels like Sv3rige, I have been eating raw meat and it has made me a much happier person. Cooking destroys upwards of 90%of the B vitamins in our food and now I think much of depression comes from a lack of nutrients. I really urge you to give it a try if you are a lifelong sufferer of depression and anxiety

So glad we can still share in your journey with you. I’ve always appreciated you and your brother for your differences, and respected how you’ve both embraced your own paths. I really respect your commitment to finding your joy and sharing that passion with the world. It’s so hard to be vulnerable sometimes and I’m grateful for how you open up and share yourself with us. I may be wrong, but I deduce from your last BGE vid that you are sitting with momma aya this trip. I respect that is a COMPLETELY personal experience, but if you ever feel compelled to share your journey, I would personally be very grateful to hear about it. I’ve felt the call from momma aya recently, but currently don’t have the financial means to take a formal trip to South America, so I have been putting my intentions out in the universe and hoping that the opportunity for a private ceremony in the US might become available to me. I’m going to be saving for the trip in the mean time, in the chance that would be my only opportunity to meet with her. I’ve learned so much just from watching other people’s videos sharing about their time with ayahuasca. I’m so grateful for those people’s vulnerabilities to share such a private experience, because a lot of their learnings have resonated with me, and I have been able to apply as growth in my own life. A woman once shared about how Momma Aya showed her a little girl, holding a heart in her hand. The little girl was herself, and she was trying to protect their heart from all the pain in the world. She goes on to share that she realizes anxiety is something our body creates, in effort to protect ourselves. Fear is just ourselves trying to prevent hurt, physical and emotional. Her personal learning has impacted me SO MUCH. I realize I can view my anxiety as an objective ‘thing’. I can ‘look’ at it and say; ‘Thank you. Thank you for trying to help me. But you serve me no purpose right now. You’re just holding me back from living my full life.’ It may sound bizarre, but it’s truly worked for me, and I’m grateful for the individual sharing her personal experience because I, too, was able to learn and grow from it. Thank you if you took the time to read this. And thank you for sharing your life with us. Sending positive vibes and well wishes to you on your journey.
