Hello Renee, I watch your videos all the time. You have a wonderful life and it is obviously filled with love. About myself, I am a 16year survivor of a heart transplant. In April 2025 it will be 17 years. I was 55 years old when I contracted a virus that literally attacked and destroyed my own heart. I was kept alive by being placed on an artificial heart until a donor heart could be found. I spent 3 1/2 months in the hospital and received the best care. I received my “new heart” on April 12, 2008. I will be celebrating 50 years of marriage in August. I have one daughter and two beautiful granddaughters whom I love more than anything. Each day is a blessing and don’t take anything for granted. Life is good.

Hi. I am a recent subscriber. I’m 72 and currently going thru a return of endometrial cancer. Chemo is making my grey hair fall out and boy would I love it if it grows back curly. I was widowed in August 2024 so it’s been a tuff year. My 15 year old would dog passed in Oct 2023 and I found the perfect rescue, 10 year old wheaten terrier mix and everyday I tell her I’m so happy she is here. I’m loosing a lot of stamina and hoping when chemo is done I can build it back up. Woodswalking & waterfall chasing with my dog & camera are my happy places. Oh I live in western NY

@raewebb6365 , just want to tell you that after chemo I had few years back, my very straight hair came back very curly but they didn’t stay curly for long. After I started to trim they started to relax and eventually I am straight hair girl again. Best wishes with your treatment.

My husband and I met in the Navy in Beaufort,SC.I was a dental asst & he's a dentist. I served for 10 years. My husband served 3. We raised 2 boys here on Hilton Head. My eldest lives in California.We lost our youngest son in 2016. It's been a tough road. My husband is down to one day a week of work. I'm retired. So we like to travel. I enjoyed this video, Renee! I don't eat meat, but will eat fish or seafood rarely. I love huge salads with as many vegetables as possible and some type of vegetarian protein. My husband passed away 14 months ago after a 2 year illness. I'm 71 and moving from Florida to North Carolina in a few weeks. I'm learning I have the courage and strength to move forward and create a new life for myself. Very difficult to face life alone and many tears are flowing, but I keep going while feeling the emotions. I love hearing about your happy, healthy lifestyle and thank you for allowing us to know you better! ❤

Hi Renee and Happy New Year! I’ve been a subscriber since about the time when you sold your ice cream parlour. I turn 72 this month and will be married 52 yrs in July. We live in Ontario, Canada and have one daughter who is married to a wonderful man and they have blessed us with 2 handsome grandsons. The oldest will be 20 and the youngest 19 this summer. I worked in the insurance industry for 47 yrs and have been retired for 7 yrs now. Both hubby and I are enjoying our retirement years immensely. I too was born with naturally curly and very thick hair and despised it so much growing up in the late 60’s and early 70’s. All the girls my age back then had long straight hair like Cher and all mine did was grow like a chia pet 😂 Sadly though my hair started thinning in my early 50s and I would give anything to have all that thickness back again. Hey Renee. I’m 42, 43 in March. I watch from Arizona when I’m not working. My mom and I have 2 rescue kitties Ruby and Sammy. I started watching your channel about a year or so ago when I was looking for videos about hysterectomies as I was getting ready to have mine. I had the surgery last year in February. I was a bit scared to have it as it is a major surgery. But your videos helped me manage the fear. Thankfully I had no surgery pain whatsoever. Can’t say the same for the gas pains. But I did startle myself awake with a loud, long belch. That’s when I found out that it is in fact possible to burp in your sleep. Even my girl Ruby gave me the wide eyed “what the hell was THAT” look.

Been here for quite a while! I’m 56 & really resonate with you. I’m currently a K-6 gifted & talented teacher at 4 schools. Looking forward to retirement in 6 years (because I moved out of original state). I’m a neat freak & very organized. It makes my brain happy. I also enjoy the blue waters in the Caribbean and sunshine! Get the winter blues & don’t like to leave my house, mainly because of the cold. I also love water and being in it. I’ll be 68 in March, retired on 4/30/24 after 22 years working in the administrative office of my local police department. I have four grands, a matching set of boy/girl each. They are 7, 4, 4, 2. I have identical twins sons which were my firstborn and my daughter came two years later. I didn’t know I was having twins until 12 days beforehand and they came three weeks early. My three are 42, 42, 40. No big plans in retirement, loving the randomness of each day and having a life to live now! Been watching you on You Tube for a few years now and have the same curly hair. Hi Renee, I'm 78 coming up on 79 in March. The cake in the picture is my favorite birthday cake from Publix. Originally from WV but moved to Knoxville when my husband was transferred on his job. I was a legal secretary for 13 years and a stay-at-home mom for 13 years then worked at the University of TN for 23 years and retired. I had a robotic hysterectomy in 2011 due to early uterine cancer and because lymph nodes were removed (no spreading of cancer) I developed lymphedema in one leg soon after. This has and continues to be a depressing thing to live with. I was married 47 years until my husband passed in 2016. I have 2 sons, 3 grandsons. We have had dogs, cats, and hampsters over the years but now only a ragdoll cat who is in her 22nd year. I want to do IF and need to be strict with it. Very rarely do I eat after 6 p.m. but many times I eat before 10 a.m. You are so inspiring and I love your channel. I also love the Abe L quote.

Hi Renee I live in northern Kentucky and my name is Leslie. I don't really remember how I found you...maybe in looking for how to handle limpy, frizzy curls in the summer. I rarely let my curls show but once the summer humidity sets in, I don't really have a choice. I just identify as smooth haired woman most days. I also grew off my colored hair in 2015 and was gray up until this past summer. Idk...I still work and I suddenly had no dark strands. I was completely white and I felt lack luster and aged. @ each island has its own beauty and energy. We vacation there about 20 years before we retired. Best weather and we lived in Keaau, Hawaii. We had lots of friends and very active. We learned how to hula twice a week and I absolutely loved and miss all my hula sisters. I still talk with friends still there or have moved away. The only reason we moved was lack of doctors.

@ it was on our list before we moved to Hawaii. It’s a beautiful state and our daughter is in Norfolk Va and family in Florida. We picked Fuquay Varina the town has a small town feel and friendly people. We will be south of Raleigh North Carolina about 30-45 minutes.

Hi Renee, Congratulations on your growing channel! I’m a 47 year old mom to 2 daughters (16 and 11) and dog mom to our 5 year old rescue. I have been married to my husband for 19 years, we met in college, and we are living in the Northeast in the town I grew up in. I sadly lost my mom to Pancreatic Cancer just about 3 years ago, and my dad and sister live just a few streets away from us. I am a Physical Therapist, but have been a Stay-at-Home mom since my oldest was born. I want to go back to work, but am also terrified to return to the work force. Like you, I enjoy moving my body and am currently on an adult learn to play hockey team. When I watch your videos, I always wish we lived closer to one another bc I would love to have you as a walking buddy! Hi Renee, I grew up in the Boston area and spent parts of 4 years commuting between Boston and GA, where my first husband was an Army Officer. After divorcing him and remarrying , my second husband and I, along with our young daughter, moved to Seattle and we had a second child, a boy. I divorced my second husband in 2008 and have been rediscovering who I am ever since. I have been a real estate broker since April of 2000 and enjoy it very much. My now 30 something children live nearby. My daughter is married to a great guy and my son lives with a great gal. I have two grand dogs, a Golden retriever and a German Shepherd Dog mix. I have been following you ( Renee) since sometime during the Pandemic and have enjoyed your KZbin videos greatly!

Hi Renee I've been a follower from the beginning and after hearing all about you again today, Its no wonder I keep watching because we are a lot alike. I am a big animal lover and currently we have a 3lb. chihuahua. She will be 9yrs on Valentines Day. We also had 3 dogs at one time, but they have all passed. My husband and I have been together since I was 16 and he was 17. We dated for 8 years and finally got married in our mid 20's. We are in our 60's now. I was with you when you were growing your hair out. I was one behind the scene saying "don't do it Renee" I liked your hair dark brown, but I do love the beautiful color now. I also hate cold weather. We moved to florida and built a beautiful home on the water, had a boat & a pool, it was paradise for 12 years but missed our family so moved back up north. Yes were crazy. We really miss the life we had in FL. but seeing our son and grand babies more often makes it worth it.

Hello Renee, I just turned 68 on Dec.30th. My name is Julie Brown and my husbands name is Charlie Brown and yes he does love his name. We have been married for 47 1/2 years (July 17th 1976).We went to school together from kindergarten through High School. Hubby is a year older than me. We live in California and have since birth but our daughter moved to East Tennessee with 3 of our youngest grandchildren, so we decided to by a home right by them and we love it. Its a very small town and enjoy the southern hospitality. We go to Tennessee every 2 months. In California we live on a very mini farm since 1979 and have raised many animals .We are partial to dogs and have had 5 at a time. We don't have any animals now except 1 dog her name is Lily Rose and she is a standard size Bernedoodle. Lily does not shed. I found your channel about 7 months ago and love it so much. I get up early about 5am and I watch your channel as I have my coffee. We have 3 children 2 sons and 1 daughter. 8 grandchildren 7 boys and 1 grand daughter and she is the youngest (7). We own a company which we build swimming pools. It is a family business. Lily Rose travels to Tennessee with us because she is a service dog for me. She is allowed in the plane right next to me. I also love your Newsletter thank you for doing that. I have made your minestrone soup and Christmas Crack and have to say the Christmas Crack is to dangerous to have in the house .We all loved it. Two things you might like to know. I have curly hair and I'm a dog sitter. Now which thing drew me to your channel? Been watching you since the first time I saw you pondering your hair. I never thought it would turn out so beautiful and I advised you not to stop coloring. Then when Pollux came home and I saw in his eyes, the bliss, the peace, and gratitude... and most of all love he has for you, I was hooked. I love your values and you can influence me anytime you like. I love your taste in gagets and home furnishings and one other thing I've noticed, we both enjoy just being down to earth. Hi Renee, as always, excellent video! Celebrating my 70th on the 16 January 2025. Commenced my airline career at London Heathrow Airport in July 1971 aged 16 years. Aviation orientated, first flight on the BAC One eleven 300 and flew British Airways Concorde to Barbados in February 1988. Travelled the world and lucky enough to visit Tsavo National Park in Kenya. The Wildlife incredible! Retired since 2021 and living on the Isle of Wight, four miles off the South Coast of England. Cheers!Dave.

I was going grey with you, but year ago i decided go back to blonde, grey was making me look way older than i really was as i started getting grey quite early at 36. in age of 40 i was like 40 % grey especially front /crown area and face frame, i embraced 100% natural hair for few years but everyone was saying i look way older, final straw was my grey hair updo on my sons 18's , when i saw it on pics how it really makes me look 10 years older i made an appointment at hairdresser and went back to blonde, i dont have to have hair done often as greys mix quite well with blonde so its a saving grace :)

If I had been born blonde, I prob would color. As you said - gray blends in with adding color. Having dark, almost black hair, that skunk line was just too much. Honestly though, I'm not crazy about my salt and pepper. I'm 73 and I just don't like it. My husband keeps telling me to get foils and add some dark back in. I'm on the fence. Ha Ha. Some days I love it, other days I hate it. I guess it depends on the cut and if I'm having a good hair day.

I’m 61, married for 40 years in august❤ we have had pets two cats for13 and 14 yrs a big chow chow and then we went small to a king Charles Cavalier and we had him for 15 yrs until he passed two years ago💔 We have a 23yr old son and soon to be daughter in love. I workout 4-5 times a week lifting weights and walking. I also clean houses. That’s enough I could keep going. Love to you and your beautiful family!
