Welding machine melt down - Trash to Treasure - My biggest copper ingot , copper casting

Hello everybody! Today I have a old welding machine . It has a lot of copper and aluminum in it . I separated the metals and melted the copper and aluminum . The result was a large copper ingot - 6.15 kg. and a small aluminum ingot -0.8 kg . This is my biggest copper ingot. I sanded and polished it.

This was impressive wow a 6.15kg ingot biggest one I've done is 3.12 kg copper ingot , congats on this big one , do you recommend scraping welders ?

you really should see about covering your refractory blanket with either castable refractory or rigidizer, that stuff is a nasty carcinogen

@@hotmetal85 another good thing to use, but it's rather exspensive and kinda hard to find is a specized coating called satonite, it can withstand crazy temperatures and lasts a long time
