Yeah Buddy!! He's actually doing much better than anybody knows!! That welder has .035 wire in it, that's like shingling a roof with a Sledge Hammer!! I ordered some .025 wire for him, that should take alot less amperage and alot less chance of blowing through!!☺

When I was a young man and needed something to span a hole we would dip a small piece of cheesecloth in Varnish and slap it on the back of the hole... The next day it was dry and stiff we would add the filler... =) Today a gallon of bondo cost more then our cars did back then! =D Great stuff King!

Thanks Buddy!! Now the price of all the supplies are crazy, in the 70's I could paint a whole car for $16!! I miss the days of the $50-$100 cars, I picked up some great stuff back then!! This truck would have been $25 back then!!☺

I wonder what daddy dirt bike did before they had smart phones. LOL It seems he is always on his when ever he comes over to your place. LOL. Good to see big and little dirt bike. I wish i had learned to weld back when i was his age he does a pretty good job. You sure are putting a lot of hours and work into this fender but it will be nice when you are done. Its like watching an artist at work when you do the glass and body filler work. Thanks for letting us hang out in the shop with you while you are working buddy. Its always fun. Have a great day!!!

On my 1966 f250 it had that sealer between the fender and the inner fender where they bolt together. In fact the repair manual says that. I used that black dum dum strip sealer on mine.

@805ROADKING
@805ROADKING 4 жыл бұрын
You do get a little more time but not a whole lot, maybe 2-3 minutes more!! But once it hardens it's a little harder than putty and a little tougher to sand!!☺

Great job of getting out the dents. I haven't done any of the body work in many a years. Dyna glass is that like Bondo with fiberglass threads in it? What type putty do you use? I suppose I will find out in the next video. Only certain people have the knack of FEELING when something is smooth enough to paint. What kind of welder does Little Dirt Bike use? Does he have a youtube channel? Both of you did a fantastic job.
@805ROADKING
@805ROADKING 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Bud!! Dyna glass is similar to bondo but waterproof and alot stronger with short fiberglass hair in it!! I use what ever Putty is the cheapest at the store, it's all the same stuff!! The welder is a Clarke 130!! You can find Lil" Dirtbike at "Motoforlyfe" on KZbin!!☺

Hey Rk what’s your opinion on rusty metal primers like rust oleum red oxide primer,,, I’ve used it a few times and wondered how well it works in the long run obviously I don’t spray it over scale but for example on the frame rails I’ll wire wheel all the loose stuff off and then degrease and spray with the red oxide primer then spray with rubberized undercoating Do you think it actually stops rust or will it bubble up in the future
@805ROADKING
@805ROADKING 4 жыл бұрын
I've used it with pretty good success!! I always brush it on, I think ya get better adhesion and a thicker more protective coating!! I wouldn't put the rubber on there, although I'm sure it would be OK!! I would just put Black rustoleum over the oxide!! When frames rot out they rot out from the inside out!!☺
@Lawnmower-os5pg

805ROADKING sounds good I’ve always been under the impression that the rubber keeps rocks and stuff from chipping the paint and causing a rust spot
