Thank you very much Jody for your kind response. Yes I have seen that video where a member of the audience ( wearing blue jeans , with a shapely figure ) did an impromtu hula dance. I did wonder how come a casual member of the audience could dance so well. Now I know Best regards.

I never tire of listening / watching this video. It would be better if English lyrics can be published together for the benefit of non Hawaiian native speakers .

Thank you for your comments. I've added the lyrics and English translation to the description under the video. The best online source for Hawaiian lyrics with English translation of traditional or very well-known Hawaiian songs is huapala.org

"Queen's Jubilee" is one of Weldon Kekauoha's signature songs and is beloved by many hula hālau. I have recorded several of his performances of this song, but I donʻt know if you have seen the most popular one I recorded at the Grow Hawaiian Festival on the grounds of the Bishop Museum. The dancer was just sitting in the audience and got up to dance so she is very casually dressed, but her dancing is so beautiful and moving, most viewers of the video can appreciate her outstanding performance. There were so many comments and questions about who she is, I had to do some research and found out she is Tiana Soares and she is in the same hālau as Kili Lai, the dancer in this video at ʻIolani Palace, who is the granddaughter of the founder of the hālau, Kumu Hula Aloha Dalire. I gave more details about Tiana at the top of the comments for the video of her dancing. The choreography is the same because they are from the same hālau and both of them ran for Miss Aloha Hula at the Merrie Monarch Festival. (Many more stories to tell about Kili and the Dalire ʻOhana but itʻs not time for that here.) If you havenʻt already, I hope you watch and enjoy Tianaʻs "Queenʻs Jubilee" hula as well. Weldon Kekauoha and his band always sound wonderful! kzbin.info/www/bejne/aobTpIBqjN95itE

She is so graceful and beautiful. I was so relaxed with the music by Weldon and the amazing hula.

Beautiful! Sheer elegance. I would like to learn that version. Whom may I ask to learn it or how to join the halau?I agree, rude. Insensitive, careless, and unaware people all over the world though. What's amazing is that her hula held me captive throughout the entire performance and I was able to see her performance right through these people hearing the nahenahe music of Weldon and friends.. 😏

The dancer is Kili Lai, daughter of Kumu Hula Kapua Dalire-Moe, and granddaughter of Kumu Hula Aloha Dalire. Here's a news story of Kili when she ran for Miss Aloha Hula and her well-known 'ohana in hula. hawaiitribune-herald.com/news/merrie-monarch/miss-aloha-hula-hopeful-it-s-family-tradition
