The strength of Barcelona (from a sporting perspective) has many criteria. One of them is how many players they field for the national team: Cubarsí, Balde, Gavi, Pedri, Olmo, Yamal and even Ferran Torres. Name 3 Real Madrid players in the Selección? Carbajal? There’s the proof. Even though Catalans are seen as separatists (and this is a massive ballast that drags Barcelona down when dealing with La Liga, the RFEF, other clubs and myopic general public) they turn up and play their hearts out. Gavi out for a year after playing for Spain, Pedri scythed down by Kroos in the last Euros, Yamal being kicked black and blue, etc. La Porta has the hardest job in Spain - not only does he have to fight for Barça against outside pressure, he also has to fight internal discord. I am humbled as a Culé since the late 70’s we have brilliant leadership and a commitment only rivalled by Ath. Bilbao and Bundesliga teams. ¡Visca’l Barça!

Benfica was my # 1 club from 1999 until I started watching Barcelona in 2007. After leaving Portugal for my home country Canada in 2002, I did not have a way to really follow Benfica. My roommate in 2007 got me watching La Liga and tried to get me into Real Madrid, but Ronaldo had already left Madrid, while Ronaldinho was still at Barca. Barca was so exciting to watch for me.

Great video, but is missing somre crucial points. First, Tebas himself said that Barcelona are back at the 1-1 rule. Therefore, this is not something that Laporta made up. Also, Tebas has been changing the FFP rules on the go. For example, after Barca used the financial leverages to sign Lewi, Raphinha and Kunde, during the World Cup Tebas changed the rules for certain financial levers to no longer count towards FFP. This move caused Barca to return to not being able to buy new players or register players. This move had a great negative impact, but the media has hardly reported this. Also on Laporta, he has done the best he could with the horrible situation handed to him. He has reduced the wage bill by more than 250,000 million while keeping the team competitive. These are important points that cannot be left out of a video that aims to give an good overview of the situation. Now with the 1-1 rule, Barca should not have any more issues with registering players, Barca will be back to normality in the summer transfer window.

Re: Tebas saying Barça is back to 1:1, I couldn't find any confirmations from him besides him saying a few months ago that they were "close" (and even further back that he was optimistic they would be there "soon"). But! As fans, you guys follow closer than me, so I'm maybe that exists somewhere. And yes I agree w/ Laporta doing well given the circumstances of the Bartomeu aftermath. I still think he has been taking big risks, but to each their own. So far, the trajectory is upward with revenues, performance on the pitch, etc. I would just be worried about things down the line (but I am a very risk averse person haha). @@RabonaTV I think he refers to Tebas saying in the podcast "The Wild Project" that Barcelona will get the 1-1 rule after signing the new contract with nike. And after that, la liga said it is not enough so then Laporta had to sell the VIP seats to the investors in Qatar and Emirates from 30 and 70 million euros... You should know (or maybe you already know) that Tebas is a Real Madrid supporter (He has publicly acknowledged this on several occasions), and always tries to harm Barcelona...for example Tebas provided the Prosecutor's Office with false evidence against Barça in the Negreira case...and another "funny case" in 2005 Tebas (who worked for Alaves at this time) sued Messi to take away his license and prohibit him from playing. You can google these 2 cases, are well documented.

Also how last seasons Tebas counted what he thought was an appropriate salary amount for Joao Felix towards the wage cap, not what Barcelona actually had to pay him (which was about 10 times less). And the Olmo/Victor issue is obviously just trying to throw a wrench in Barca’s wheel. If Olmo had chosen to leave the club (which could have been within his right) it would have been a close to 200 million expense for Barcelona. Tebas has been sabotaging Barcelona and I really hope we sue the league and the Spanish Federation.

I am saying this for pretty much 3 years, but I just don’t get why they even make these big signings and honestly I believe at this point it’s just pride and ego. You clearly don’t need to buy players for 50-70 million. La Masia and the players they bring out EVERY season are simply incredible. Why even bother getting in all that financial trouble when you could have just rebuild for 2-3 seasons and be back at the top without making huge signings. Olmo is a fantastic footballer and I’d want him at my club, but Barca won 5:2 against Real without him. In many of the games we lost or didn’t win - we were GENUINELY BETTER. Lewandowski missed some sitters, among others - and Raphinha’s finishing and decision making suffered a bit during that time too. That’s normal. In the clasicos we have to admit - Madrid missed some *chances*. Look at our underlying numbers. As long as those are good, we’re good. Robby mentions this. Also, we’ve had some REALLY harsh calls. Atleti and Real can STILL take points off each other, and also other teams, too. We’ve seen our OWN 90s against them, this season! Real isn’t great and Atleti is enjoying great form, but form is just what’s happening *now*. Flick is becoming more pragmatic, rotating and seems to have figured his best midfield. The only fans they lost hope on Laporta were some 10 year fans. Every cule old enough can remember the state of the club back in 2003 when Laporta took over from Gaspart. If there is one guy that can pull this off is Laporta. I’m curious did you ever mention the levers pulled by RM for the new Bernabeu or the fact that the money from the concerts that were banned are still added to their income statement ? As for the money from Qatar as CSD stated the documentation about the registration of Olmo were sent before December 31st to La Liga so we can see an effort from Tebas a known RM fan not only block the registration of the players but create buzz and harm the team with the Super Copa tournament on the horizon. As for the VIP seat you fail to mention that only 5% of the seats were sold,475 seats and the team won’t lose any income from the future selling of all 9000 seats. You should try and understand the dynamics in Spanish football that led to all this mess from CVC to the new Nike contract you will reach the 1:1 ratio to the lack of evidences on the influence of Negreira to the referees FCBarcelona is at war with the whole system of Spanish football

It was just disorganization from Laporta. He knew what was going to happen with Olmo and victor. I'm sure there were issues like the money going to the bank being of their control, but what was stopping him from doing this a week before or something

Firstly LaLiga said Nike deal would be enough to register Olmo and Victor, and Barca counted on that, but in background they worked on VIP seats deal just in case. So they submited all documents on 27. December. But LaLiga said "no, Nike deal is not enough" because of pressure from other clubs (Atletico Madrid, Bilbao, Sevilla, and maybe some other clubs) who were threatening LaLiga with lawsuit if they register Olmo and Victor (or maybe that was just Tebas making excuses. Also all those teams made public anouncement that was pretty similar to what Tebas said day earlier. Concidence? Maybe). LaLiga also used regulations that are not in use until February 2025. That's why all the other documents were presented on 31. December and not on 27. December. Because they were not in rulebook. And even if Barca sent all documents earlier, LaLiga would take their time and only in last moment they would sad that Barca was missing some imaginary paper (they have done that 3 times in last 4 years). So in short, this was not disorganization from Laporta, but on the contrary, because he made backup plan (selling 5% of VIP seats) on which he and rest of the board worked since February 2024, court had no choice but to order registration of Olmo and Victor, because there is no chance that LaLiga can win this in court. And imagine if Barca was knocked out of Supercopa and Copa del Rey bacause they couldn't use their players or if Olmo left for free. Barca would sue everyone then and they would have won every case. That's "irreparable damage" CSD was worried about and why they ordered registration as soon as they saw what was going on.
