There is a fix, join the black flag discord and beta and some of the others there may be able to help you sort it out, im not entirely sure what they did, but you could try reinstalling steam, make sure to delete everything, including wreckfest and all related files except other games, (make sure to back them up beforehand) im not certain that will work, but its worth a try

@@slayerofmidgets3201 I had Proton experimental selected, it improved the startup, was required for FH5, both broke after this Proton update. Wreckfest and Forza run great on Proton 7.0 and vibration feedback now works on my joysticks.

first: try with connection. second: try to delete wreckfest and reinstall it. third: google for solutions fourth: post this problem on the steam forums, maybe someone has a fix fith: if all of the above dont work, then i have no further clue

Right click on it in steam and press properties and somewhere in there it should say repair

go to task manager and find wrecfest , right click and exit it even though it says it has stopped on steam it hasn't on your PC the reason you cant log in the game is it is a steam error the game is trying to run but since you have it on steam it needs steams permissions. exit out in task manager then try and restart it should work.

It would close too quickly to do this, couldn't even find it in task manager when I tried, but it's fixed now
