They are acting like they're 75 not 55. Carrie still extremely self absorbed. The energy is off on these episodes. Her grief over losing Big seems nonexistent. I dont blame Kim Cattrall at all for not returning, that was a smart move on her part.o nobody can replace her. I think she has the last laugh. It's still fun to check out the fashion on the show.

And just like that Carrie is over big within a short time. But spent almost an year heartbroken when he didn't want to marry her.

I think he dumped her so many times that she thinks it's one of his moments in her state of shock and denial. Also, being dumped so many times by him made her angry. She couldn't blame him for his own death, so she's probably experiencing a new feeling towards Big she's not used to. She doesn't understand it's final now. She's trying to accept it, but probably acting out what she should have done when he first dumped her for real and married Natasha.

The writers had a chance to portray these woman as vibrant and strong. The constant comments about their ages seem to say that is awful to age, when in reality, much of aging is attitude, and they had plenty of that in the series. Why couldn't the writers show these women as confident, powerful, and wise? They act as if the next stop is the rest home. On another note, it is extremely rare for me to comment negatively on the appearance of any human being, however, I wish that SJP would realize that the overly long hair and severe buns are dragging down her face.
@jm7804

This version of the series is probably a lot closer to reality. 4 rich white women running around NYC chasing men and $500 shoes is not reality. People struggling is reality. I dont know one woman who matches the description of what you suggest. Not one. The powerful women I know are usually upset with their kids, unhappy in their marriages, or have some other issues that loom heavy. People are highly flawed. I think it's fine to show flawed characters.

@@loisen Where did I say life was over or people are miserable over 50? I never said that. Reality is not misery....its reality. Plus, what are you? 20 or less? I agree with JM, and the rest of you can be right too. In your 50s, you're still young (youngest of the older age group, of course) and life does not have to be miserable. However, everything is fine until you are confronted with a few issues, including health. You are on a life change, on the border of many questionings. It all depends on your attitude and yes, you can still feel young in your 50s and even 60s, but it's a lot of self-recycling and it takes hard work to maintain your happiness. You have to enjoy the process and let go of a lot. You are not young anymore, but not everything that is old is finished and yet not everything that is new will perpetuate. It's all about value. How much value are we giving ourselves in our 20s, 30s, 50s, 60s etc? How much value are we creating at any age to keep going, to feel 'new' and young? Some people are already 'old' in their late 20s while others still have a zest for life in their 70s and 80s, although it's not that simple. It's a lot of mind work. Just think of antiques. They are old, but they are valuable. Always find something new to learn, to do and be yourself. That's how we create value.

This seems depressing ALLLL the time... There's no connection with things happening.... Carrie really isn't grieving Big's death and selling the condo?? Really??? Another episode of SJP's poor suffering victim-hood. Always making jabs at Samantha, it's clear to see SJP is a narcissist who has yet to learn the best form of revenge is success, not some awful series in which you scapegoat and make dig after dig at the most popular character who wouldn't come back (no doubt because of all your prior jabs)!

I used to love Carrie….now not so much, fine I get it her hbd died…but, she was so judgmental towards Miranda getting caught in the kitchen, then with her drinking….uhhhhh….didn’t she just start smoking again…Now I get why Samantha was so upset when Carrie walked into her office while she was performing a “job” on the UPS guy…..It’s a sad depressing show🤷🏻‍♀️
@weirdally1876

Um it’s not judgemental to call your friend out for cheating on their husband in your kitchen while they are supposed to be helping you after surgery! If I was Carrie I would have yelled for them to stop and gotten help to the bathroom. It’s her home and she’s recovering, what Miranda did was disgusting and inappropriate. You don’t have a right to have sex in front of your friend in their home, wtf?? It’s not slut shaming to call someone out for cheating on their partner who’s also a part of your family/close inner circle… This is nothing like when Sam was blowing the UPS guy. Sam single and in the privacy of her own office, not responsible to anyone or anything. Carrie’s a selfish prick but she was right to call Miranda out. also, smoking cigs again after your husband died is not the same as having a drinking problem. Carrie smoking is bad for her, but it doesn’t alter her state at all, let alone to the point where she’s self destructive and hurting others. I don’t like Carrie and always found her selfish and problematic, but she did the first right thing in a while by calling out Miranda.
@monikaslife7329
@monikaslife7329 2 жыл бұрын
Weird Ally, I realize smoking doesn’t effect you state of mind, but it’s still an addiction. If that was my best friend in my kitchen I’d keep my mouth shut until she wanted to tell me….We don’t know what’s going on in peoples relationships or marriages….Obviously Carrie should of Taken a cue from Miranda’s drinking and realized she was unhappy. Carrie’s not perfect ….how about when Natasha found her in her home….I suppose the writers are saying …look how bad Carrie is taking Big’s death… She isn’t crying but acting out in other ways…Look how bad she treated poor Charlotte when it came to planning Big’s funeral….because she was emotional, the old Carrie would have so much kinder….It’s the writers, their changing the characters and forgetting us the viewers that have been watching them for 6 seasons & 2 movies….and, btw that’s what good friends do we listen, not judge or start yelling at them, we’re understanding & kind…..That’s how my group of Girlfriends are, and weve known each other for more than 30 years…..
