I feel like for a lot of knitters because they're so experienced they don't explain anything in the pattern, and I get that. But when you're a beginner it's really annoying. I bought the yarn for a pattern from garnstudio (I know. I know) and since their pattern is already hard to decipher, not explaining anything as to how you increase and why at this specific spot, makes it really hard. So thank you. Thanks a lot!

What a brilliant tutorial! As some have already noted for beginners at times we love a pattern that is beginner friendly but the video tutorials are missing steps, reminders or explainations. Brilliantly you have mastered a true tutorial that is beginner friendly. I can not wait to begin this make. Your actual showing of the swatches make so much sense to see visual the outcome of stitiches from various yarns to include the transfering of another needle. Thank you for gifts and talents in such a wonderful and yes again, BRILLIANT tutuorial.

I’ve never knitted, but now am seriously considering it. I am starting to watch instructional videos and follow up with a very plain project, as I wish to master at least two primary stitch types, and proceed from there. We had a beautiful Persian Ginger cat, who I rescued following a massive and rather destructive tropical storm in our city. We named her Molly. Like your beautiful Molly, she always supervised all work we were engaged in, be it splayed on the laptop keyboard, reading a book, or anything else. Kitties are indeed special. Thank you for sharing your ideas and time. Kisses and “scritches” to Molly. ❤️🌷❤️

I am on the newer side to knitting and only have circular needles 12 mm, should I buy size 10 mm as well and how would I switch them if they are not the interchangeable ones?
@UnsolicitedThoughtsOfARose3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you will need both. It is really simple to switch them. Let’s say you are switching from 10mm to 12mm. In your left hand you have the stitched on the 10mm needle. In your right hand hold the empty 12mm needle. Start knitting with the two different sizes until all the stitches from your left 10mm needle are transferred onto your right 12mm needle. Then just start knitting regularly with the 12mm needles! I hope this makes sense, it’s a bit hard to write out!

It is all about the gauge being the same as the pattern calls for, so the stitches make the right measurements. If 1 strand doesn't equal the gauge (stitches per inch) then it won't be the measurement expected in the pattern that is written expecting you to use 2 strands. But if your 1 strand is super chunky and meets the same gauge as her 2 strands you should be fine.
