Shame about this Summer's weather...but nice to see the sun shining a little on your lovely day out. Wells is nice, but very small...not enough retail therapy there for Suz!!! Nice to see you both back out on your travels! Thanks for sharing 😊

Hi Netty. Yes despite the weather, we did have a nice day out, and sometimes it's a good thing to limit the shops available to Suz. 😁😁We spent enough on the meal in the pub.

Our first rule of pub meals is avoid the fish and chips. Half the price in a chippy and usually better cooked LOL. We have had some awful weather this summer, last Friday we had a frost. I suspect it will be another warmest month according to the Met office but if so why have we had the heating on? Wells Next The Sea looks nice thanks for taking us around.

Yes our original plan was to go into Frenchies and get lunch, so the rule is, always stick to the plan. 😁😁The weather is not going to plan though, even though we will be told that June was one of the hottest, lets wait and see. Thanks for watching. 👍👍

What a lovely visit you had. Shame about the rain, but a lovely place to visit and that half a meal was very expensive, so yes you should have gone to Frenchies fish and chips shop. Thank you for sharing. 👌

Hi Guys. Yes we do love to visit Wells, but it was unfortunate that it rained again. Anyway we had a nice day, despite the cost of the food. Thank you for watching…..Paul and Suzanne.

The real history of the name. The town became Wells-next-the-Sea from juxta mare in the 14th century to distinguish it from other places of the same name. It appears as Wells Next the Sea (no hyphens) on the Ordnance Survey maps of 1838 and 1921. When the Wells and Fakenham Railway was opened on 1 December 1857, the terminus was given the name of Wells-on-Sea. In 1956 the Wells Urban District Council voted to re-adopt the name Wells-next-the-Sea, and this has been the official name since then. (From Wiki)
