The original owner of this Welte died a few years ago. A reproducing piano collector in Little Rock bought the entire collection including 6000 plus rolls. He said that these pianos are a work of art to see. They still play wonderfully.

I wish the new owner would continue to post videos of them...

first tune I heard on my Weber! (over the phone no less) My son and I were talking to the owner about the condition of the instrument & she said "wanna hear it?" Heck yeah. I still have the roll & play it at a vigorous tempo. This version is Waaaay more intricate, though.

Thanx, for your most kind comment! Yes, all is original B/4 restoration, and a few additions to make the Welte system play much softer than original. Go to my channel and check the playlist that says (Shows All The Insides)

Thanks for putting this on. Howard Lutter was one of the very best artists on Piano Rolls, and the little improvisation near the middle is just great. This is a great piano; I see it is a Becker Brothers. Was it always an electric powered Welte-Mignon? That ribbon mahogany is really gorgeous.

The expression regulation of your Welte is excellent. So many, including my Baldwin grand are just too loud. What "few things " did you do to tame it down?? I would truly value your response.

I like the chipper tempo.

Use the pedals to pump and you can make this louder and stronger.

There are no pedals. This is an electrically-powered Welte-Licensee reproducing piano. The dynamics are automatic from the roll. I think there are finger levers to manually put in dynamics if you so wish.

ALWAYS felt my automatic playing mechanism played things too soft too... always pumped it, since I could decide for more air if I desired.

This piano is absolutely screaming with how bright the hammers are, it doesn't need to be louder, I assure you xD

Sounds similar to the J L Cook arrangement that was use i the duo-art roll.
