Thanks. It was a very good video. I just got mine this week as a gift to myself and my husband bought me a saw table as well. I unpacked this and turned it on. I was amazed at how quiet it was. I guess I expected it to be as noisy and the saw table. I plugged it into the foot petal that I purchased along with it. I ran a couple test boards doing a straight cut and shut it off between each test. I did two parallel cuts and then tried to cut along the bottom, but it didn't really turn. (This is my first time using a band saw other than when I was in middle school like 50 years or so ago). Anyways to make this short, I came back out to try more cuts and when I turned it on and pushed the foot petal and it just buzzed. Then a few attempts later it buzzed and then the fourth time it did nothing. I took the foot petal off and plugged in directly to the power extension cord and it worked. However, it was making a loud banging noise. I am guessing I need to adjust the blade but not knowing the cause I don't know if it is a bearing issue, or a tension issue or something else. So where or what do you think I should be looking to adjust? I may be old, but I have so many neat projects I am wanting to attack even though I am a beginner at woodworking. I have the manual, but I don't want to start adjusting one thing and then hop around and change something that was fine to begin with. Any suggestion is hel[fi;

Hi...my best suggestion would be to go through all of the adjustment steps in your manual. If this doesn't solve your problem, check with the manufacturer to help trouble shoot. Good luck, Wes

I owned it and it died in a year. Tightening knob bent and would never get the blade tight enough. Bearings blew out too. Overall I would recommend it for small, softwood projects. Don’t resaw or cut hardwoods though.

I almost picked this up when I was looking for a bandsaw. I ultimately ended up spending a little more for the 10 inch version. It has a slightly bigger motor with 2 speed options, a stand, and all around just slightly larger. The biggest reason I got it was the 6 in resaw capacity vs. 3.5 in on the 9 inch saw. WEN has yet to disappoint on any of their tools that I've purchased. I have the bandsaw, drill press, oscillating belt/spindle sander, track saw, and dust collector. Most of my other stuff is dewalt but these have worked out great and saved a ton of money vs the bigger name brand versions of these specific tools. My only complaint about wen bandsaw is the size of the t track. its too small and the BOW vertical resaw featherboard doesn't fit.

These small bandsaws are great to have in your shop and I use mine all the time. Resawing is being a bit optimistic and these small machines are not really cut out for that sort of work, although it is possible to do some joinery on them it is not what they are intended to do, nevertheless, you will find heaps of things you will use it for and wonder why you managed without it and for the price these small machines cost, I wouldn't be without mine.

What are the mounting hole sizes and how thick is the plate ? I want to buy bolts at the same time i order the BA3959 - tnx

I have this same saw. It wont even cut a 1x4 of pine without it slowing down to a complete stop. Ive tried figuring it out but ive had no luck.

Lookup the word review pls this isn't a review this is more a bad demo of a new tool. I didn't see any views of adjusting the machine ( you skipped it but why?)and in a real review you hear things that are disappointingly negative or not working at all., and not only great, beautiful and so in. No Wes unless you get the machine for free and you have to promote the machine you can do a better job I hope . Btw I love my Wes tools!
