I watched this something like a year ago and I just rewatched the "God's Last Wish" part and that still gets me - I cried when I heard it the first time, and I honestly don't even think I'm that religious. The concept of there being a divinity that gave up perfection for companionship and love is beautiful and more powerful to me than any religious text that I've ever heard of or read.

That is the basis of Christianity, whether you've ever read the Bible before or not. Humanity was made by God to be loved by God and to love God in return. We have the choice to be with him or reject him. It's not so much a conspiracy theory as other things on the list as much as, I suppose people who perhaps aren't that religious looking for a way to explain Biblical concepts. While Christians don't believe necessarily that God "gave up perfection" in terms of his own perfection, it's clear that the intention for humans to make their own decisions was there from the beginning, as one of the first choices made that had a negative impact was the birth of sin.
@londoncrotty560 Жыл бұрын

27:59 Re: Fractalisation. I think the most compelling theory i've seen for this is that the fractal shapes and stuff you see on lsd etc is your brain weakening its visual processing (e.g the red/green/blue colour visuals you see on lsd resemble the three colours the cones in our eyes process, but our brain isn't processing them as we normally would). In fact, the visuals you get when on lsd can be similar to babies before their visual processes mature.
@zeallust85422 жыл бұрын
LSD also causes sharpening of the vision, which you could argue is actually your brain strengthening your visual processing I never thought about the color thing like that though, actually interesting thought
@horrorhotel462902 жыл бұрын
There are physical processes which rewire your retinal cells into your visual cortex happening after birth. Our brain is somewhat wired at random during development in the womb and many of the connections are useless/incorrect. Look up synaptic pruning and visual cortex mapping if you want to know more. While there are many processes happening on drugs, there is very interesting research on this topic by Professor David Nutt. Amongst other experiments he put people on psychedelics into fMRI scanners to measure brain activity. Contrary to what they expected, our brains don't look like giant active fireworks on psychedelics, instead activity declimes in many areas of the brain. HOWEVER, it is very important to keep in mind that many of the processes in our brain are actually meant to INHIBIT other neural processes from running rampant/out of control. An excellent example of such a process is pattern-recognition in our visual cortex. Usually it takes a certain activation treshold for neurons to fire and signal recognition of a certain pattern e.g. a line or a circle or higher order geometric arrangements (look up how artifical neural networks do pattern recognition if you want to know more detail on this, explained in simple terms) On Psychedelics, that firing treshold is lowered, since firing is no longer inhibited by the responsible control mechanism. At first and in low doses this leads to an earlier recognition of existing patterns an thus a "sharpening" of vision with a few false positives. Line detection is usually one of the first systems to start showing more false positives. A classical example for this would be a fascination with wooden structures and fur, where the details in these patterns start to "flow" Then larger surfaces like walls start to "breathe" etc. At some point the firing treshold becomes so low, that you start seeing higher order patterns where there aren't any. Since the same groups of higher order neurons are firing over and over, you start to see patterns within patterns, ever recurring. That's one of the primary mechanisms causing fractalization. Disclaimer: This explanation of hallucinations limits itself to what is happening in your visual cortex/what images your brain is producing from the data your eyes are providing. Of course, your higher order cognitive functions and associated brain areas are also affected by the drug. This can affect what MEANING is attributed to the patterns you're seeing/where&how they are integrated in memory. Same goes for associated emotions etc. That is usually the part which makes drug experiences so profound and is much less understood, as drug research has been criminally underfunded in the past decades because of the stigma associated with these substances.
@Mogel19782 жыл бұрын
Interesting thoughts. I am not necessarily sold on it being a malfunction while on drugs Maybe a misuse? If we consider the body an adaptive tool we can thus assume the brain itself has these connections based on situations. While you use drugs as an example I’d point out close combat slowing of time. It is 100% a human brain function. It’s not the slowing of processes of time but it is our brain processing hyper actively to allow for important actions to occur in quick succession. The same could be said for the “feeling of deja vu”. Neither caused by drugs. Both natural brain processes we got whatever reason have adapted to use at only specific times. If anything drugs would be the boundary breaker to use these on whim.

i really like "there is no conspiracy". it makes you ask yourself, what's more terrifying? the idea that there's someone out there who knows the truth, or the idea that nobody knows the truth? that the truth is so alien no one can ever come close to understanding it?
@Hawkster522 жыл бұрын
I see it as more of a question of what comforts you. Does the idea that there's some order to the world through a higher power or hidden knowledge or super government make you feel comforted knowing that there's a plan of sorts, even if the plan is negative comfort you or does the idea that we're constantly discovering new things in the pursuit of knowledge because we're trying to make sense of our own existence and no one person is greater then anyone else comfort you? I think both are equally scary and yet comforting. There's both terror and peace in "knowing" that there's no order to the universe and no secret powers and anything can happen at any time but there's also terror and comfort in "knowing" that there's super powers in this world with supreme knowledge that chart out our path as a species but also see you as nothing more of a speck of dust in their plans.

29:58 I’m going to express this with so much love and gratitude. As someone who has gone through such rough things throughout my life, maybe not the worst things but still plenty that i didn’t wish to carry on existing and hated every aspect of myself even when I had this extreme self awareness growing up. To add to this I can say with certainty that Depression Override is 100 percent possible, but it requires a level of deconstruction that many of us aren’t well equipped for. This base understanding that in the same way we learn knowledge and gain experience in order to override this energy and perspective you have to strip every aspect in a more factual and objective truth, at least that’s how i was able to achieve this state of being. And i’ll be honest, it wasn’t done with any self help books or research. I’ve always looked to understand why things happened, and what things mean and the purpose of it all- even the minuscule purpose. Because no matter how small an aspect of ourself is, it does us so much good to accept and love and cherish every part of us. Self love isn’t selfish, it’s an appreciation for understanding that who you are and who you are becoming is worth everything and that worth can come together with those around it.

In reality the reason he can explain such vague topics in depth especially in this finale is because he’s spent ages bringing together this collection of ideas and theories. How could he spend so much time when he only looks to be in his early twenties? Even as a Christian it’s very comforting, that God just said that “I want them to have choice and free will” and just give everyone a little part of his perfection.

God's Last Wish and God's Ego Death remind me of concepts from Hinduism and many Neopagan religions (most namely Wicca), that everything (humans, animals, the physical world, the many gods themselves) are manifestations of one singular Godhead. The Hindu ideal is summed up with the equations Atman (the individual soul)=Brahman (God), Brahman=Atman. We are all pieces of God made flesh, so that we may incarnate as many times as needed to understand the whole of creation, before rejoining with this ultimate Oneness, our understanding become a part of the greater understanding of the whole. And that's basically where I stand myself. I come from a Wiccan background, but consider myself more of non-affiliated Lokean today. But my core belief is that everything is One, we are all Divine made Flesh, and our goal is accumulate the knowledge needed for that One to fully understand itself. Loki is my patron because Loki is the trickster, and the trickster is always the character that initiates change and confrontation, and hence expands knowledge and experience while putting stale authority to task.

Man i fell asleep watching this last night and managed to wake up for just the last 15 seconds, still tired and confused from being asleep and that jumpscare at the very end scared the shit outta me. I then had a very dark and weird dream for the rest of the night 10/10

The Final Understanding is probably the one that stands the most relatable as not only does it seem to be the goal for the individual in any religion/cult but it is something that cannot be explained, it can only be learned through the human condition. We don’t need to understand anything more than the self.

Out of everything in this entire series, fractalization gave me the most powerful experience. I have seen fractalization a few times in my life and it's always felt meaningful. The first time I tried LSD I saw very vivid kaleidoscope-like patterns. I've seen "Cymatics", or vibrating a plate with sand on it at certain frequencies to form patterns. The Mandelbrot set felt powerful to me, and learning about sacred geometry caused me to have that feeling of "one" with the universe that other people have reported to have through anything from looking at the night sky to going to church. I don't know what to take from all this but it sticks with me as a fundamental mystery. Also congrats on the success of the channel, I was subscribed early and it's been fun to see this channel blow up. Excited to see where you go with the deserved attention. (edit: posted this before I saw fractalization, way better fit than pattern manipulation)

god's last wish is what really hit me hard, and fractilization being used in it really adds to it, explaining that the lines between fractals are the lines between pieces of god, a once perfect being, just to experience free choice.

On DMT i saw/experienced fractalization in practice...and you can move within that patterns and fractals by specific thought pattern ( best way to describe it )... For example, when i got into that (mind)scape first there was a seemingly infinite greyish/white area of slowly vibrating cubes, from that area which was known to me as the antechamber at the instance i appeared there, you "move" with your mind back and up ( dont know how to describe it, closest would be to moving back and up sensation but it is not exactly that ) then you turn into the greater pattern that antechamber was a miniscule part of. Furthermore then you see a fractal pattern of everything in front of you but focused on some parts of it while others are like filtered out ( like time and causality, or topography of universe, or something like that ), because you can't see absolutely everything at once even in deep meditation or psychodelic experience, it would just be all white or all, you would not be able to navigate it. Then i was able to dive into specific parts of the pattern, be it specific time or alternate locations / times...for example i looked into my friends mind few minutes in the future, it was like looking deeper into a pattern on a rug for example.

Never thought I'd have such a cathartic experience from watching a conspiracy theory video, but God's Ego Death and God's Last Wish really hit me. This whole iceberg was a journey but at the bottom tier, those two made me feel all kinds of ways. Thanks so much for doing what you do. You are by far my favorite creator on this platform.

Yeah I'm not religious but that honestly made me tear up, in a way the story of christ never has, let alone anything else in this series. Maybe that's a sign that it's the real truth.

i agree read my comments above on Gods ego death i think it is the ultimate explanation of existance i have felt it seen it and had the most deep understanding of it you can imagine, and although i'm right were i should be i realy just want to get back to God this realm is shallow plastic emptyness and no true satisfaction can be gotten from it i want to go home.

Depression Override hit me really hard. I was a heroin addict for years and during the whole time I never gave up hope of being clean again one day AND NOW IM HERE. I've been so blessed to have beaten death that there is NO NEGATIVE FEELINGS left in my soul. There is nothing i can't change or produce because i have regained my soul in the darkest of abyss and despair. For all those still struggling with opiates, don't give up!! I believe in you with all my heart! If i can i beat it, so can you!

When you mentioned padre pio it reminded me of a story my mam told me when I was younger. Basically my cousin was born fairly prematurely in the mid 1980s and was given a low chance of survival. The Irish Catholic Church has possession of one of padre pios gloves and my grandfather got permission from the church to lay it under her incubator. Over the next 48 hours her condition improved drastically and she was able to undergo surgery and survived. Now I'm not terribly religious myself but even I have to admit that situation either involved ridiculous luck or some divine intervention. Just thought I'd share the story. Great video!
