It has an incredibly boring cello line because it repeats over and over again for the entire song. However, everyone still lives it. But not so much for the cellist. 1:22 No. 2 This English concerto was made famous by the famous cellist Jacqueline du Pre 2:01 No. 3 This piece has the name of an animal and is part of the Carnival of Animals. Fun fact: I performed this piece with the New York Philharmonic when I was at Juilliard. 2:44 No. 4 This is arguably one of the most famous cello concerto of all times. All cellists have to learn it and it's often used for auditions. It is technically not easy! 3:30 No. 5 This piece was originally for voice and piano. While this was not originally written for the cello, many cellists have played it and continue to play it. They say that the cello resembles the human voice , and I think in this case, it suits the cello perfectly. 4:05 No. 6 This has to be the most famous TV Show Tune in the world. And it's written for cello and orchestra! Let's just say that many of us did not like the last season of the show including yours truly! 5:05 No. 7 This piece of chamber music was written for a string quartet PLUS a cello! So you have two cellos in the ensemble or also known as a cello quintet! Fun fact: I performed this piece with Yo Yo Ma! 5:51 No. 8 This sonata for cello and piano is rich and beautiful. It explores the full range of the cello. It starts from the lower strings and climb to the top, filled with intensity and emotions. 6:55 No. 9 This has to be THE MOST famous cello solo piece out there. Every cellist plays it and I have played it many times on this channel. 7:50 No. 10 This piece is written for cello and orchestra. Many people of Jewish heritage would know this tune because the tune is sung during Yom Kippur, the holiest day for the Jewish people. Still can't figure out the most famous cello songs? I can't believe how good your cello sounds through my home built speakers. With my speakers the texture and the tone comes from the same point. And the vowels and consonants of the voice sound come from the same point. That is unlike most speakers where the vowels and consonant come from a foot apart. Vowels come from the woofer and consonants come from the tweeter. But my speakers have drivers that handle medrange and treble with the one driver (and only the bass is separated with an extra woofer). The treble and med (or texture and tone) coming from the same point gives way better image of the instrument and more 3D and holographic and sounds like your cello is in my room. KEF make speakers like that called Uni Q. Fostex and Feastrex and Lowther and a fair few others also make speakers like that. One driver or coaxial drivers have more cohesion than separate woofers and tweeters (like most speakers are) which sound "flat" and "lifeless" compared to point source speakers.
