From what I understand the whistle you're hearing is from the impeller blade tips breaking the sound barrier. It rotates at something like 109,000 rpm at full spin. Had the pleasure of riding a friend's H2, and it's _very_ noticeable in the best possible way. But this bike is more practical than the Wicked One, enough that I'm considering selling my 14r. Nice vid mate! I'll be test riding one of these in a few weeks when I'm home from work (along with a H2 and ZZr1400). Nice review. And I like how your audio is coming through from your mic, you must have the right voice for it. Mine's too deep for my GoPro mic and Sena Prism Tube Mic, always sounds muffled. Whereabouts in the helmet have you put the mic?

I've got the mic in the normal spot in front of the chin vent. I think the wind cancelling on the Sena helps a lot - I seem to get pretty good audio without too much messing around

It's never going to happen that other bike manufacturers will go to supercharged. KHI had to get the airline and cargo ship engineers together one this one and had very diffecult time doing it. Unless other companies just do reserve engineering. Kawasaki even said that their loosing cash making these. Good review brother I've got 2008 ZX14 special edition flat black with red frame and wheels was that model available there? Thinking on going for the H2SX or the totally new H.D 2018 fat boy or Bob always get that one mest up. Greetings from Canada

Great video but for me I really liked your review on the MT09 Tassie road trip which assisted me to buy that bike. As good as this Ninja is, it would probably be too much for most people! Hope the cops didn't check your speeds lol.

Hm that's a tough one. I reaaally like the H2, but you could buy 1.5 GSXR-R's for the price of the H2. If it were my money i'd probably buy a GSXR1000R and keep the change.

Did you try the various riding modes? One review said the "Sport" mode was pretty jerky, but wouldn't change it. I find this is the case with a lot of bikes with this feature. Usually only good for wheelies. I can't imagine that would ever be slow, but I just wondered if you tried the touring mode? Were you in it the whole time? Bike seemed pretty smooth when you rolled it on, but you weren't doing a lot of switchbacks where you were getting on and off the throttle. That's where the other guy complained.

I was in sport mode the whole time... the fuelling is beautiful, but I agree the throttle is a little bit jerky going from closed to open. Roll on acceleration is smooth as butter. I think it's just a ride by wire thing - it's almost impossible to get perfect.

If you get your hands back on it, try the other modes. It makes a marked difference on my Triumph which is also RBW (a dumb name as it rides without a wire).

Hey mate. I am from South Africa. I picked up one of two bikes that came into the country, so I am really chafed. I traded in my K1600GT SPORT in for this baby and although I have only 200km on the bike I have absolutely no regrets. This is the kind of bike that makes me turn my head once or twice after I park it.(to have another look of course). I see u have been giving it some beans - what was the mileage on that bike. According to.the manual I should not be doing over 4000rpm for the fist 1000 km. Do you also find that when starting the bike it turns over for about 3 sec compared to 1 sec for most other bikes? I have ordered a slip on akro and I am also looking for an aftermarket screen. Unfortunitly here in sa they take forever to bring in stuff like that. Thanks for a great video bud. Cheers Zunaid.

Anything supercharged there is a slight delay in starting,charger needs to turn over and compress.Certainly no delay in acceleration tho!,have fun 😀

I ride a 14 and yep the difference in speed is negligible I prefer the 14 feel. As for comfort the H2 SX is in my opinion a more relaxed and very comfortable feel, it has a few more tech points but I wont change to it from the 14 simply because it is 50% more expensive for pretty much the same go and comfort and touring and sporting. 10k will make my 14 with a turbo and corbin seat and other bits make it way above the SX.

They all says it does 200 HP but manufacturers always talk about engine HP and normal life’s of everybody’s work with HP at the wheel and from measuring from engine to the back wheel you loses a bits of power thing is all H2sx I’ve saw on dyno it always did around 170 HP and very often I saw 168 HP. And I know you loses power from the crank and then it loses power because it as to turned the front sprocket who will move the chains who will make the rear sprocket turn that will finally make the back wheel turns so that’s where it loses power but this process is on every sports bikes they’re all the same and I never saw one loses 30 Hp along the way normally it’s around 15 HP so this says the doubles but what you get is very often from what they say and event if it sound way down on power when my ZX-14 as 210 HP at the wheel is that with a simple slip-on ,air filter , and Ghul’s reflash , this very dull 168 HP changed like from Bruce Banner to the Hulk with a hefty 240 HP at the wheel please and if my ZX-14R was really fun to rides with 210 HP I can only imagine this one beings even funnier since it have 30 HP more, is about 50 lbs lighters, and also I think the wheelbase is shorter so everything’s just better in any senses

Great idea, fail on appearance. Ugly face, ugly butt, too much weight. Kawasaki! Put a supercharger on a 650 Vtwin and make a tourer out of it. Frugal and powerful at the same time. It'd take a 1290 Super Duke GT over the H2SX any day.
