It's criminal to leave Azpilicueta out of that team. In 2017 he recorded 9 assists and 2 goals, unreal for a CB. Also won the 16/17 premier league. He's probably the best defender in the league, both on the ball and defensively. I would even say he is possibly the best defender in the world right now.

Completely agree with Poet, nothing wrong with team selection, Wenger put his trust in 11 professionals and all bar Nelson they didn't perform, as a Leeds fan we did the exact same thing, made a few changes, gave some fringe players a run out to prove themselves, with a team that should've been good enough on paper to beat Newport as we beat them 5-1 earlier in the season and again the players just haven't performed. At the end of the day a manager can only pick the team, he can't kick ball for them.

Due to coutinho leaving, we are definitely going to score less goals, so ideally we would need to keep more out. Which makes me think a top quality goalkeeper is what's required, either Oblak or Alisson Becker. I think this because realistically the few players who could slot into Phils role would be isco, KDB, asensio or Silva, but because of their worth I'd go for a keeper and Leon goretzka

Invest the Coutinho money in to Lemar and Mahrez. Mahrez has played in a fluid 3 before (Vardy; Grey to Salah; Mané) and has the quality. Lemar could step into the side anywhere and has similar quality and potential to Coutinho. Would also provide cover for the fact your front 4 never actually manage a full 90 together.
