428lbs wet weight s VERY light for a 1000cc machine. My SV1000 is heavier than (410lbs dry) that and i consider that to be light. These 929rr were apparently only 387lbs dry! For perspective that’s about how much a CBR250r from 2011 weighted wet

Just made a v-log of my 929 i'm prepping for the track and I have a 954 road bike too, absolutely love it! You will enjoy it for years to come, your right the low down torque and lack of having to change gear makes it soo easy to ride quickly. You will get used to the handling don't worry, I nice new set of tyres always helps too depending how yours have worn can make a big difference. Good luck with it!

Found my new CBR. Had a deposit on a 2010 that was 500 miles away. Then an 05 Repsol became available only 5 miles away. Most likely next I'll be posting a video of me learning to repair the clutch. Something bad with the clutch which the seller told up front. I posted on my new instagram @cbrrr1000rrr a quick clip of the Two Bros carbon fiber pipe... Much Love!

I definitely recommend going through your suspension to improve handling and for peace of mind. First thing I did with mine when I got it last month is rebuild the forks. I also added new bearings to the swing-arm and linkage. I put new bearings in the wheels as well, and rebuilt the brakes added new brake lines.. After all it is a 20 year old bike so I wanted to make sure everything was good to go!

KTG612 like 14k now but it’s a 2001 that’s probably sat for a long time so food for thought . 20 year old oil in shocks isn’t a good combo!

You hate having to spend more money right after buying a bike. I would think many buyers of used bikes tend to get as much bike with lowest miles and age as their budget allows. But you are absolutely right and what you did amounts to some of the best money you've spent.

Same here started with a 600rr at age 35, drove 5000 miles before selling it and now I want another bike. I'm looking hard at buying a 929rr. You nailed it with the 600rr, so nimble and easy to control. You mentioned how noticeable the added power of the 929 is but I was hoping you would say something about if it wants to wheelie or not.
@ktg612
@ktg612 3 жыл бұрын
It can power wheelie but you really have to be cracking that throttle back. I've always been a riders who like to roll on the throttle nice and easy 😎
@timothytendick1550
@timothytendick1550 3 жыл бұрын
@@ktg612 I watched this video again and we have so much in common in terms of what we want and how we think around motorcycles. Truth be known I would choose the 600rr over a 929rr simply because it's forgive nature has literally saved me in a couple situations where I fear the 929 would not have. The dilemma is, and you know this mang, what I really want but really don't need is mooooor power....and it's stupid. My gut tells me I will be faster on the 600 because of the confidence it inspires. The only benefit of the 929 (my hunch) is the "feel" of more power but in reality, nothing significant until reaching speeds I'm wise enough to have let off the throttle by then.
@ktg612
@ktg612 3 жыл бұрын
@@timothytendick1550 Key words are "feel" and "confidence". As long as I feel the little bit of extra power inspires confidence for me and long as you feel the mobility and agility of a 600 inspires confidences in you. A confident man is hard to stop 😁
