His wife didn't say anything because she was too upset by seeing PICTURES OF HER DEAD SON. Bless the father for being able to deliver a strong speech
@lizzytheowl5778 жыл бұрын
The father also said that he would've broken down and started crying if he didn't have his wife standing by his side, he also said that she was a massive help in writing the speech. Even if she didn't physically speak on stage, she spoke during that speech. Her husband spoke for the both of them and they both provided the emotional support needed to stand on stage. They've done more for each other than Trump has ever done for his own children. I can't believe that Trump would go after a grieving couple just because they told him to read the Constitution. If this doesn't lose some of his supporters then I don't know what will.

I am his friend, but I'm not Jewish."
@vgman948 жыл бұрын
If one studies Hitler's life: He wasn't that bad. His commonly hated attributes were mainly pushed by the Nazi Party in general towards everyone in Germany. IIRC, he did order one of his close friends who was a suspected traitor to be interrogated (tortured) and that man was killed. But he did not do it without a heavy heart and lack of forethought. He was pushed into it by others in his inner circle. What were some truly bad flaws in him were bratty attitudes towards those who disagreed with his ideas, such as invading Russia against the word of his generals. Donald shares that type of childishness, and it is very frightening indeed.

Ja He was a vegetarian and animal rights supporter, and some accounts from the survivors of the Fuhrer-Bunker describe him as tender and sensitive. Honestly, my first thought as to why the wife didn't speak was that maybe she just wasn't comfortable enough with the English language. Not trying to be offensive or anything, just that some parents I have met have some difficulty speaking the language if it isn't their first language. I would like to think that Trump could have had the decency to go that route since it is slightly more sensiti- Oh who am I kidding? Trump's entire is built off of not recognizing when he has said something that could get him even deeper into a hole. SHame that all of his voters are willing to jump right in after him.
@JDBenavidez8 жыл бұрын
That was my first thought as well. Maybe she wasn't as comfortable speaking English especially in front of a huge crowd and millions watching at home. And that's fine. I know lots of people who speak English as their second language (including a couple of my grandparents) who would not be comfortable in that setting. Of course, the truth was much more harrowing, speaking about her son brings her to tears...

I'm angry at the presidential candidate who claims to be detail-oriented and is characterized as the most qualified person ever to run for that office... the same presidential candidate who - as a US senator - didn't read the 2002 CIA's National Intelligence Estimate on Iraq. Bob Graham, then the chairperson of the US Senate's intelligence committee, was the only member out of 100 who read beyond the "executive summary"... and he voted against the war resolution because he knew the Bush-Cheney White House and its media buddies at the NYTimes, etc, were lying. I do not know what is motivating the Kahn family, but if I were they, I'd be at least as angry with the people who cynically sent my son to die for a bunch of lies as I would with the racist buffoon who unconstitutionally calls forth popular hate for my (and my dead son's) religion.
@ohjoy27688 жыл бұрын
Perhaps you should be mad at the group of people (president and V.P.) who fabricated evidence which caused many of the American public and Senate to support a war based on lies.
@aquaticllamas288 жыл бұрын
+Oh Joy True most senators voted or it because they were lied to.
@SJ-oi7tk8 жыл бұрын
Perhaps US senators should read a CIA report that is handed to them, as Bob Graham did. Perhaps US senators should pick up British, French, and German newspapers which had all the required information to make an informed decision. Perhaps US voters should question the intelligence and morality of someone who conveniently chooses to trust George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. Perhaps the whole "but... but... but we were :LIED to" is itself a lie: Hillary Clinton knew the score. Millions and millions of Americans and people around the world took to the streets BEFORE US ground forces went in. Keep in mind that Bill Clinton killed even more Iraqis than Bush-Cheney, thanks to sanctions. This partisanship, this "OMG! Look at what Trump said" partisanship... when Democrats have said and done the same and worse, is so pathetic and dishonest. We'll never progress as long as we let our leaders stage these fake "debates" and "outrages"...

Did you not watch The Daily Show or Colbert Report back when Jon stewart and Stephen Colbert were hosting? This is pretty much what those shows consisted of, satirically jabbing at those in power or trying to get in power. That said, unlike the rest of the media, show's like this are essentially the jester making fun of the king (or wanna be king in this case). The reason they stay focused on Donald Trump is, well, he's filling that position of a punching bag that George Bush left behind (you should have heard these guys rip him apart, good god). That said, these guys have proven themselves as being a powerful force in destroying a politician's image, mostly because they are the best at showing what a fool said politician is. My mother used work with a pro trump and she said today about the family "Well they shouldn't be sad about their son being killed it was 12 years ago any way" now my question is this: WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF YOUR CHILD DIED FIGHTING FOR THIS COUNTRY 12 YEARS AGO!
@LeCigareVolant8 жыл бұрын
Okay, now talk about Hillary saying the parents of the Benghazi victims don't remember things right.

I wish the Colbert Report was back. That show was genius. Wish Stephen could do both. I like the late show with some of the Political content we can still enjoy! This segment "hysterical."

Yeah but ignore Hilary calling the mother of a Benghazi victim a liar lol just keep talking about Trump
@chop543218 жыл бұрын
+Steven Stark Here's a crazy idea, as a program on national TV, talk about both! It's called not being biased.
@rodneywarren19058 жыл бұрын
Incorrect. She said the mother of said Benghazi victim was wrong. Last time I got an answer wrong on a math test I didn't see "liar" written anywhere.
@chop543218 жыл бұрын
+Rodney Warren And Trump said he had seen the mother wasn't allowed to talk, but he wasn't sure if that was the case. If your gonna exaggerate what one person said for comedic effect, do it to the other as well.
@chop543218 жыл бұрын
+Rodney Warren Also in this case, it would be like your math teacher saying 2+2=4, then when you put that on the test, she says your wrong.
@rodneywarren19058 жыл бұрын
A54321 Wow I have not gotten angry in many years so bravo to you for pulling that off. Implying that a grieving mother cannot or is not allowed to talk is a very different from saying someone is factually incorrect. Comparing the "sacrifice" of being a billionaire to the sacrifice of a human life is the height of insulting. Don't claim to be unbias if you plan to be completely bias the next breath. Let us save that for Fox news please.
