During the scene where Ash is being pelted with rocks, fake rocks were used, but to get a more realistic reaction out of Bruce Campbell, director Sam Raimi pelted him with potatoes. This cut was used.

Well let’s be fair, _everyone_ suffered on the shoot of the original film, including Sam himself. They shot it in the dead of winter in a rundown cabin in the middle of Tennessee. Probably part of the reason the cabin interiors were done on a set in the 2nd film! 🤣

I love rami and I love bruce this is actually a fact i didnt know. did you know that after this scene when he fights the deadite from the pit he fires 3 shotguns shells most viewers say its a mistake of direction but thers a shot where they cut to the deadite and if you listen close you can here ash reload off camera
