Earlier today two little girls aged around 6 unexpectedly knocked on my door and gave me a bunch of hand picked flowers because they had voted me "the nicest neighbour." In that time there was a lot of me communicating by phone or email because I had to know for myself if I had overreacted or not or if he really was that bad a person, but time gave me the answers not him directly. He didn't give me that respect. I know that feeling of disbelief that the same individual we felt love from could possibly be so bad. You might even get a hoover by her as it's still fresh. Just be careful as you seem vulnerable right now X I know as I fell for it in this state you describe, and it was fake, just another way to hurt me for not going after him like he was so special, for the breadcrumbs he gave when he felt like it.

They may look happy but deep down they live a terrible existence. They think the grass is always greener on the other side and never recognized everything they had. Even when my kids talked to the Nex briefly for Easter he really just hopped around with no place to belong. It's very telling and sad in a sense but definitely not our problem. He says he's in a great relationship but then why he is he not spending the holiday with this person who lives right near him. It's all lies and this false sense of reality that they make up in their head. Your much better off without him. Take time to heal and fill your life with people that matter and will be happy to be with you because of the amazing person you are. As a side note it is so strange after reading your comment I knew exactly how Andrew was going to reply 😂 Does that mean I read too many comments? 😂 Laughter and not taking yourself too seriously really will help you continue to move forward on your path. I love how you explain things to make it easy to understand WTF happened to us! I recently found out how bad the Narc can be when you give them pushback, tell them you could leave them if they don't stop being a jerk. Total annihilation of your life by rejecting you and just cheating on you with the flip of a switch! After 27 years of servitude, you do everything for them, for the relationship, give them kids you almost died to have, etc., but that doesn't earn you anything...NOTHING! They don't value you for one second. You don't get brownie points for putting up with their abuse, they devalue and reject you on a dime! It's shocking to find that out after so long, but when you are beaten down by their abuse for so long, you become trauma bonded and stop seeing it as abuse. It's F*ed up, to say the least. Love this video Andrew. 💯 When you know your worth everyone else knows it as well. You have a renewed confidence and sense of self. Your energy changes and people recognize your glow. It's really a game changerl. Once you remove the toxicity and begin to heal there really is no limit to what you can do. Every first you experience without the narcs in your life is so much happier. There is no stress or drama. Andrew did a video awhile back where he was saying how nice it would be to just sit at the pool and just be. It's so true. The Narcs can never sit still. They are always complaining and trying to make you feel awful. It's exhausting. Once they are gone and you find that inner peace you don't care about what other people think. If you want to sit there and read a book for hours you can. If you want to take a walk or nap no one is browbeating you. When you know your worth your in charge of what you want to do even if that is spending the holiday as you see fit. It's important to remember that people pleasing benefits everyone except you. Moving forward always know your worth. If something doesn't benefit you don't do it. It may sound selfish but it's not. There are a lot of amazing people who recognize your worth so don't waste your time and energy on those that don't. The Narcs knew your worth they just wanted it for themselves, so they kept you isolated and devalued you. Learning all the time through the pain. I think I accepted the love I thought I deserved. If I truly valued myself, I wouldn't have put up with over three decades of this awful treatment. He didn't value me......I put up with it because I didn't want to be on the receiving end of their moods or silent treatment. I was trying to keep the peace. We have to look within now to find our own value. If we fail to see our worth, we're setting ourselves up for a fall. Keep moving forward Angela one day at a time. You're doing great. In time you will be able to see all of the beauty within yourself again. It's funny I used to look at pictures of myself and even my sister. We always looked so drawn, old and just awful. I used to think it was because we had kids and were always running. I know now I was 💯 wrong. It wasn't being a mom it was being in a toxic relationship with a Narc. When I look at pictures now I look so much different it is amazing. Even when I sent pictures to my family yesterday they all said you are absolutely glowing and looking again they are right. My sister however is getting sicker and looks so drawn. It's sad what being in a constant state of negativity and despair can do to you. I share this Angela because you will get there too. Document your journey through journaling and photos. It really helps you celebrate how far you have come each day. As Andrew says the person we were 6 minutes ago is not the person we are now and won't be 6 minutes later. In time and with baby steps you will trust in how amazing you are again. God bless. You can and you will come out of this stronger and in the words of Andrew Galvanized. ❤️☘️

It's great to hear how far you've come and your family and others are noticing your progress and you're feeling the difference within yourself too! Your messages are always positive and full of hope for the rest of us, further back on the healing path. Family and my marriage meant everything to me....it still does. We've been divided.......my daughter sided with her Dad and refuses to acknowledge what myself and her brothers have gone through. She's cut off contact....this is killing me....I haven't seen her or our firstborn granddaughter since the end of January. I'm a broken person, so unlike me... crying up to God everyday for His peace - God forgive me when I say it but I want God to take me to my Dad in heaven, the pain is that bad. I'm so afraid of homelessness that's on the horizon, as he is refusing to pay the mortgage....and I've contacted the lender, awaiting news from them. The anxiety is through the roof! I will try to keep moving forward but it feels like I'm stuck in quicksand, sinking beneath the weight of it all.. I hope it doesn't always feel this bad. @@angelacahill9083 Sending you a big virtual hug Angela. In time you will feel better. You are dealing with a lot of horrible and scary things all at once. I completely empathize with your struggles. Remember you are not alone. Your comment is a reminder that every situation is unique and we all have our own struggles that need to be addressed. Give your daughter time to process everything. The Narc family dynamic is very complicated. It helps to read up on it, process it and digest it so you can move forward. Each member's role has a huge impact on their perception of the situation. I dealt with a lot of what you are experiencing while I was in the marriage. The Nex tried to alienate my kids and that probably was one of the reasons I stayed longer than I should have because I needed them to see him for who he was. In time the mask slips and they see they do see them for who they are, as horrible as that is. I still see the after effects the trauma has had on my children, but they continue to heal and yours will too. All we can do is love them. As far as your house seek legal representation. Depending on your circumstances there is a lot of help out there especially post COVID. Most importantly Angela remember you are never alone. God hears all prayers and is always with us. We are much stronger than we know if we just believe in ourselves. A few days ago I was faced with many challenges that 8 months ago would have terrified me, but honestly after all of my healing I literally took a deep breath, shook it off, handled it like a pro and went on with my plan without anyone's help but my own. Yes there will always be bumps in the road, but when we recognize our worth and that we are capable of handling any situation thrown our way it is very empowering. You can do this Angela and you will. 💪💪💪

The ex took multiple trips, she had a ball.. I take one trip and come home to ALL of my stuff turned upside down, and much stolen.....totally crushed me as I had no idea a break up was happening. And yes she was already dating someone. Currently rebuilding. 38 yrs of surviving narcissists(5 relationships) and its literally been hell.(Had never heard of narcissism till about about 11 months ago) I finally hit a huge brick wall, slide down it into my own very broken heap, where I remained frozen for 7 months...Ive learned: Eyes wide open for love bombing, no more people pleasing and definitely maintaining strong boundaries. Lack of these 3 things has cost me ALL of my semi retired net worth and that's just the start.

Sometimes in the lessons that iam in the inter middle of atmosphere must at times take a large pause. I truly had no idea of life, respect, self worth, intelligence, was call every name in he felt like calling,afraid to speak, making him upset, being hit, pull by the hair to the floor , hits on my heads. And so much more. I not permitted to life or to live.he is a devil evil. I had no way to take and break free to freedom. Had no way at all. The last 3 1/2 years I began a planning. I now practice detachment so I don't need someone to be physically there or it to be personal, or anything more than you give to us all. But that ten minutes a day, from someone who understands and cares, galvanises me to get back to what I'm meant to be doing on this planet. I lost my mojo as a scientist during the relationship with the narc, which was a big deal for me because those ideas that used to always pop into my mind and the energy to see them through, always working on developing something helpful for humanity, just stopped. I had to talk to my soon to be ex to sign over the car to him. I thought I was further in the healing journey and when I hung up I cried. He sounded ambivalent and wow that hurt. I didn't let him know he hurt me and I cut off the conversation as he tried to talk about nothing. I can't wait until after I meet him so I don't have to hear his voice again. The divorce will be final in a couple of weeks. Healing from 18 years with a man that took and took and took and me who continued to give has been so difficult. I will continue to work on me. I will continue to love me and continue to heal.
