Watch Episode 17: goo.gl/LQ9LtZ Van Life FAQ: weretherussos.com/camper-van-life-faq/ What happened with the battery? We left the car radio turned on...the van battery and house batteries (to run the lights, appliances, etc) are two separate systems.

Greetings from the U.K. I discovered your videos recently by accident and so look forward to seeing new ones ! I feel as if I know you - you are so knowledgeable and friendly . Nearly all my life I have day- dreamed about having a motorhome and travelling especially in the U.S. There's one slight problem - I can't drive !! , so you are my modern version of "Travels with Charley " by John Steinbeck . You don't mind me hitching a lift every Wednesday do you ?

Who the F#$ck would dislike a video seeing other people are enjoying life. Makes me really angry. I may or may not like the video but the second I see other people enjoying life I feel so glad for them. life is hard and cruel. jealousy makes life even worse. Come on people, don't be jealous, Be happy for others, then your life will flourish too.

I moved to Mammoth forty years ago for what was to be a season of skiing. I fell in love with the area and never left! One of the first things I was corrected on was the proper pronunciation of 'Mono'. It rhymes with Toto, dodo, phonograph, Yoko Ono. Both 'o's are long. You may not be identified as a local by correct pronunciation of the area but you definitely will be recognized as a tourist by the incorrect pronunciation. Its a gorgeous area. Welcome to our little piece of heaven!

I just happened across your videos a couple of days ago and now are all caught up. Have really enjoyed watching your adventures as growing up in the 40's and 50's I was an military brat and criss crossed the country a number of times then when I got out of the service myself in the late 60's drove long haul for a number of years then moved around the country a few times so am familiar with most of the places your visiting. Leo looks so much like Scooter who I lost to cancer when she was 13 (she was 86% Arctic Wolf) and acted so much like Leo. That does make watching your videos rather difficult at times. Keep up the great work your your doing, enjoy life and safe travels. *Dance the Skies*

Thanks for the awesome trip through a day-in-your-life living in a van. The main thought that came to me was that you both have to be very cooperative when it comes to moving around. It is indeed a small space, but you've got everything in its' own spot and you putting it back as soon as your done with it really helps keep the clutter down. If only my wife could do that here at home! Your menu's seem kind of "health foodish"! Are you vegetarians? With all of the coffee consumed, I am surprised you don't have a quicker method of brewing. All in all a wonderful, if not close, lifestyle. Really enjoy your adventure!
@Weretherussos7 жыл бұрын
Yes...it's a dance you have to learn in the van and only one person can lead at a time. We are vegetarians and with the coffee...quick isn't always the best.

This was a perfect video. I like to see the everyday stuff. A lot of people show the same amazing things but I want to see the ordinary, the tough, and just what's going on. Hi. Dan from Sweden here. Really nice videos. I've heard when it comes to making the bed, that one should not do that, because of the (I'm not sure if I'm using the right English word) mites that exists in all beds, are thriving in moisture and when you're making the bed, you are containing the moisture in the bed and therefore they are multiplying much faster. Since I'm a lazy bastard, I now a days never make my bed. Win win.😀

You should make your bed NOT to look good and orderly but hang your linen and liners and blankets (dunno what it's all called in English) and sleeping bags out for airing. Like quarter hour or so should be enough.

As I saw kate having to move the burke (speeling allowance please) and I thought what a pain, the van is so small, things are just not easy to get too and inconvenient. Then I remember packing up my small 4age toyota tenting from Oregon, Colorado, California BC AB etc and I always had a place for everything and it really was all part of the experience. It was fun figuring out where stuff would fit and where it was best to be placed. The only thing I regret was carrying those bikes on a bike rack, that I left home for good. I get your desire to live small. It just big RV's have such great toys!!!
@Weretherussos7 жыл бұрын
True...you can take a lot more toys with you in the Class A but we like to look back on the days when people didn't have every thing known to man but they were happy with the few things they did have. It's simple and less to worry about...so for us, this is much more rewarding.

Nice video. One protip though, equip the van with an electronic smart battery isolator. In normal operation, it keeps the starter battery and RV batteries separate (but charges both) but you can push an override and set the batteries up to run in parallel. This lets you start the engine off the RV batteries if something goes wrong with the starter battery.
@Weretherussos7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion. We had that in our last RV but I am assuming there isn't one in this because of the Lithium battery set up.

You know, the one thing I noticed about RVing in 120sq ft of space is, you have to learn how to IMPROVISE, OVERCOME & ADAPT! If you're unwilling or unable to do this, then Class B living is not for you! This is one of my top 10 videos by you, Kait & Leo! I love seeing indoor activities inside of CamperVans...boredom is truly a state of mind! I was once trapped inside my old Roadtrek for 3 straight days bec of rain. I just gave myself multiple daily tasks to do, and all was well (of course I had plenty of Star Trek VHS tapes to watch too lol ;) 🍻🍻🍻 to you wonderful ppl!

nice vid, and your sound leveling was spot on. Most people can't figure that out.

I love your videos! I would love another "having a dog in a camper van" video about Leo! Your dogs in an RV video was the best!

Just discovered your videos last week as I was following another couple (Drivin' n Vibin') and can't wait now to get your updates. I checked out your website too. I showed my husband your visit to Yosemite video and he's like "why aren't we doing that instead of watching others"?...good question. I've been researching Tiny Homes for 2 years now but really find camper/van life interesting. Like Kait, I love downsizing but my hubby...not so much. He will have the hardest time. I look forward to all of your videos and updates now as you have provided me with more of an inspiration to do this! I hope to come across you two in your travels some day!

every night before i sleep, i imagine that i am somewhere else. Usually i am camping somewhere or i am in a campervan just like you. sometimes i am in a world of jurassic park and sleep on a tree for safety. Watching your videos before sleeping gives me imagination material. tyy^^ (for a long time i thought that a lot of ppl do that, but speaking with my friends proved me wrong ^^ )
