This RV show seems to have a lot of more reasonable size models. I went to an RV show just yesterday, and they were almost all humongous dinosaurs bigger than many city apartments. There was one Type B RV for $ 80K, and that was it.

I love the fact that your van when low on battery for AC will turn on and shut off. I love Leo, makes me so sad for my dog. Right after my liver transplant he passed. That was a tough time. Since we live very close to the beach and it was super warm there also, we were not inclined to drive inland and after seeing the crowds at the show, it was probably a good idea. Very much enjoyed the video though and got a good chuckle at your sardine stash. I recognized them because they are one of our must haves in our Era, can't beat them for a quick delicious sandwich on the road! Belated Happy Birthday Kait! Happy trails!

I live near the beach as well but if you go early on the first day the show is open (a Friday), the crowds are much smaller. This year it was also cooler on the first day. I went back on Sunday to see Joe & Kait and it was quite toasty.

My parents had one of those old white/red VW van and they made curtains and a bed, mom made covers for cushions too. Unfortunately, it broke down on that very long bridge in Florida. Which caused a lot of traffic, back in the days, I think it must been the older bridge :( Miss that van.

My guess it might be better to use reflectix on the inside of rv so they not get so messy with all the dirt and dead splattered bugs on the outside. However it might require some rigging to make it stay in place on the inside but am just guessing. Really love your videos. Keep up the great work. :-)

We went Wednesday, it was awesome no lines for anything. Check out the Hymer Vans, if you're interested in a class B. I wasn't so impressed with the pop up Hymers Vans when I saw it in magazines or online. My wife and I were pretty much set on buying a van conversion for ourselves. After looking at that pop up, I realize it's an instant guest room. If you're ready to buy a motorhome right now, the manufacturers are offering big discounts at the fair. I may wait one more year because I want the new ecotrek system, and a one-year-old van depreciates by thousands of dollars in just one year. Don't tell me it doesn't, I've seen the resale on current Hymer vans..

Thanks for getting back to me. I just watched the video again. It’s around 5:50, after Joe talks about your Aktiv not having a microwave. Now I realize Kait said “we did a full van tour”. I thought she said “we did a full Banff tour”. I was excited because I just ordered the Banff and would like to hear your thoughts on it. I’ll be joining the Hymer family and hope to see you guys out there soon. I’m an airline pilot and plan to just travel and make sure I’m near enough to any airport to fly to my base for my trips.
