Peach Country Rv in Stonewall was a place we stayed for awhile. Nice folks. A good place to dump,fill and do laundry. If you go back and need hook ups, ask for a space in the 2nd row by the club house.

Hi Kait & Joe, You know after watching other RV videos it dawned on me that I am drawn to your channel bc of the details (ie: city, state, season, introduction of people, etc) and the way you include the journey as well as the destinations in your filming. I’ve always felt that RVing is as much about the journey and the unexpected finds along the way as the destination. Your commentary is very well thought out & professional. Thanks!

Your book was great. It also created a small problem for me. I had been binge watching your videos and was very interested in the subject matter. Only problem is I started reading it around ten p.m. and the next thing I knew the alarm clock went off and I was still reading and re- reading parts of it. I had a field trip that morning with a group of special needs kids and there was no way I was going to back out. So needless to say I was very very VERY exhausted after accompanying these kids. Moral of the story: Don’t start reading a book that you know is going to be good ,thinking you will be able to put it down in order to sleep.😹😹😹...thanks guys...safe travels .

Am curious. Where did you stay in Fredericksburg and also in San Antonio? We have enjoyed Lady Bird Johnson Municipal park out by the airport in Fredericksburg, but oh my word - the stickers! Had to keep our poor dogs off the grass! I hope they are working on correcting that issue. In San Antonio, Blazing Star RV Resort was very nice. At any rate, I think you will enjoy your visit to our great state of Texas.

Moving Forward Adventures have you ever tried an Aeropress? It makes outstanding coffee, it's compact, and is very easy to use and clean. I'm still living the sticks and bricks life but I Aeropress every morning and will definitely be bringing it on the road when I go nomadic.
@MovingForwardAdventures6 жыл бұрын
Hi Mr Mnmlst, I use something similar it's called a MyJo made by Presto, you pump the hot water by hand through a reusable kcup container or you can put real kcups in it. I like for all the same reasons as the aeroprrss, small, easy to clean and needs no power. I've changed my coffee roast under Joe's advisement and I'm now trying to adjust how much to use with 10oz of water. It's getting better. But it's no where near the liquid gold Joe made for me😁 We wish you the best and safe travels when you hit the road!
@MrMinimalst6 жыл бұрын
Moving Forward Adventures thanks for the reply! Thanks for making me aware of the MyJo, I'm going to check it out. I'm not a fan of K cups but if it's possible to use the permanent refillable K cup then I might be interested. I use a stainless steel filter disc made by Able Brewing with my Aeropress and really like that there is nothing but coffee grounds to dispose of after brewing. I wish you continued success on the road and good coffee in your future!

Commenting on a very old vlog but... if you make it back to Fredericksburg I cannot recommend enough the Pecan Grove restaurant, just a few minutes outside Fredericksburg. They have delicious burgers and it's housed inside a vintage Sinclair gas station that also has an attached garage with an old motorcycle collection. Right up Joe's alley. They also have a biergarten with live music and events, and offer camping on site including tents, cabins and RV's. My parents live in Texas and took me there last June. We loved it. The Old German Bakery in town has wonderful brunch and a pastry case full of awesome stuff. Their German pan fried potatoes were perfection.

Great video. Your 100 percent correct to not film at the event. The event was FOR all YOU guys not for you to produce something. Besides out of this will come new thoughts and avenues and THAT will make its way in various forms in your travels and attitudes and that itself will end up in future videos. Hope it was fullfilling for you guys and it has given you a pleasant boost to you amazing van life. Take care and good karma go with you.
