Been through Quartzsite a handful of times on the way to either Vegas or California. I even checked out houses for sale there as a potential place to move one time. I enjoyed visiting, but decided not to move there :)

Terrific seeing Quartzsite again. My late folks used to make that an annual stop on their many cross country RV trips. On one year, my Mom decided to make some side coinage by selling taco's from their RV to the crowds and made a whole bunch of $! Way too much work in the long run, so they only did it one time. They so loved their RV phase of retirement and we were so lucky to have been on several of their later years adventures. I did the driving and Dad did all of the cooking. A very fair trade indeed!

We had a Yamaha XT600 on a carrier mounted on the rear of our 29' class B. It was a great way to see the hills of San Fran. We also used it for off road areas we didn't want to take the RV to. 'We didn't have rear opening doors, but just a spare on the rear. Just a thought....

It’s funny, I was at the RTR seminar when you drove by. It was the first Hymer I had seen at the RTR. After the seminar, I walked down the road I had seen you drive down, but I never found the Hymer. I never even thought that it was you!

I like the video of the inside of that guy’s RV where he had a rear doorway curtain that raised like a mini-blind. That is a great idea to use on my vehicle only with no-see-um bug screen instead of fabric. I am thinking of using a 1/4” bungee cord on both sides and affix some no-see-um bug screen to the top of my back door and some kind of like shower curtain rings attached to the bug net to slide up and down the bungee cord kind of like a mini-blind effect but only bug screen.

Bob released a Video today. Next year the RTR will be moving to a new Location that is Much, Much bigger. BLM Found the location so next year is all set. Also, Look at the Polaris Slingshot. My BFF bought one and simply adores it!!

Thanks for the video as we decided to enjoy Quartzite vicariously through various videos and went instead to Sawtooth Canyon, a small BLM campground in the Mojave desert that is a climbing mecca for rock climbers from all over the world. There are only 15 campsites for dry camping and it is a little more low key and provides a myriad of hiking trails and rock climbing for kids through experts. I very much enjoyed the tour of the Paseo, it is always fun to see other class B owners use of their rig and the seminars I'm sure were very informative but we just weren't that inclined to camp in what seemed like a giant RV park.

One day we're going to RTR. It looks fun. Thanks for sharing it. Just curious if anyone noticed something flying thru the scene at 7:45 to 7:48? Joe, did you notice? I fly and it did NOT look like any conventional aircraft to me - even with the scene sped up like that. It looked like a ball of light speeding by. And why give off ANY light - or reflect light when the Sun appears on the opposite side of that flying vehicle? So it isn't reflection from the Sun. Hmmm. :/

Question please - 1st - thank u so much for this & all your video's !!! How was the surface for Leo? I know he's older & in general it seems like it would be a challenging surface for dogs to walk on. I live in Phoenix & desperately wanted to come but, I have an almost 19 year old dog who needs a comfy surface to walk on - like sidewalk or grass. And, I only have Honda Odyssey, so, to keep warm, we would have had to run the van all night. Thank u again so much- wish I could have gone - I desperately need a bed built in my van & could use some other things, but, I have zero mechanical/building skills

@John Cooper: True...the RTR isn't at all like Burning Man. People should stop parroting such misinformation (and avoid advertising their ignorance). But you know, I'm guessing most "regular" RVers and even "regular" full-timers ("mainstreamers" would be the term perhaps?) don't get the RTR, either...it's just the "Nomads" (who often tend to be introverts) among them who do. Oh...and the RTR isn't quite a "party," either...except maybe at the "Music/Generators" section of the RTR. Otherwise, MOST of the event is pretty quiet, just as most people there want it to be. -- BR
