That was a cool video. I've ordered the same system from Amazon. It should be here Tuesday. I pull a three axle fifth wheel with 6 tires. My dually pickup is set up with an air equalization system for the duals, so only one valve stem supplies air to both tires. Therefore the 10 tires system works perfectly (6 on the trailer, and essentially 4 on the truck). I like how you set up the sensors by screwing them on and letting them connect to the display monitor. I hope you're still happy with the system. It seems reliable from your input in the video. Thanks again for making the video.

Thank you. We are still very happy with this setup, the piece of mind it gives is priceless. :)

How hard is it to put these on the rear inside tire?
@WeRmudfun5 жыл бұрын
I am able to get my arm in between the 2 tires to do what I need to do. I also don't have the lock on the sensor on the inner tires. Makes life a lot easier that way, for us anyway. 😃

Thinking about getting this tpms system. What I observed is, you disassembled the theft proof cap by using 2 hands and screwing them apart. Then when you put it on the rv rear tire you spun it with the one hand and said "it won't come off". Looks to me like you could use 2 hands and screw them apart just like you did while off the valve stem. Then once the outer top cap is off then you can unscrew the sensor, and gone! Is this the case? Did you try this?
@WeRmudfun7 жыл бұрын
No I didn't try. Anti theft deterrents are only going to keep honest people honest. If somebody wants your valve stem monitors they will take them no matter what you have to deter them. That being said, they are useless to someone who doesn't have the same system. I don't even use them on the inner duallys as it would be too much trouble trying to use the tool back there. If someone ends up stealing one, I'll pay the $35 and get a new one. The system works great and that's my biggest concern. :)
@edcones29487 жыл бұрын
I'll weigh in as well. There's nothing you can do to make anything completely theft proof. If someone wants one and knows how it works, you'll only slow him down a few seconds. But in a campground with people around, that may be enough. If someone is just seeking to cause mischief it'll probably stop him when it just spins. Bottom line for me -- will not having it installed stop someone? Well, no. Will having it installed stop someone? Well, maybe ;)

Thanks so much for your video on your tpms system. I just bought the eez4v. My wife Cindy and just purchased a Tiffin 32 gas class A. Its a 2012 used but we love it so far. We live in South Florida and are planning on retiring. We enjoy your channel because we lived in New England for 12 years. Did you need a booster for signal on your eezrv? Thanks for your response.
@WeRmudfun6 жыл бұрын
Congrats on your Tiffin! You should be fine without the booster. We have a 35' that measures almost 37' and we don't need the booster. We are glad you enjoy the channel, we do love New England. Just wanted to let you know in case you didn't noticed, we did start a new channel just for RV and Jeep related stuff. kzbin.info

Hello guys what made you got with the eeztire over say the TST unit? since this was 4 years ago what is you experience using it are you still using it?
@WeRmudfun4 жыл бұрын
Hi John! We researched a lot and choose Eez RV Product, because we like the ease of the install. We had\ a question and called them and we were called back after hours and they stayed on the phone with us until we understood our answer. That says a lot about a company to us. We also liked the price compared to what other products were on the market at the time. We are still using the TPMS and it has worked flawlessly. The piece of mind that you will get from a TPMS is priceless. We will never not have one in an RV again. 😀
@johnhowell59694 жыл бұрын
Did you ever have the need for a "repeater" or booster
@WeRmudfun4 жыл бұрын
Maggie is 36'7" long and we pull a 2 door Jeep Wrangler ( as you know LOL). We did not need a repeater. Our best recommendation to you would be to get your TPMS and see if if you need a repeater or not before buying a repeater. No sense wasting money. 😀

After 3 years of use with this system, would you buy it again, or would you consider the TST 507 as a better choice? Just upgraded to a Tiffen 32SA and need a system for it and our Wrangler and it is pretty much down to TST or EEZRV units. I like your channel dealing with MH and Jeeps. Very informative and saves me a lot of time!
@WeRmudfun5 жыл бұрын
To tell you the truth, I don't know anything about the TST507. The Eez TPMS has worked flawlessly since we put it in so there has been no need to look at any others. In case you didn't know we have a new channel just for the Motorhome and the Jeep... kzbin.info

I bought flow- through for my Tiffin are there any problems with using them on the coach?
@WeRmudfun5 жыл бұрын
Hey Steve! We didn't go with the flow through version, so I can't comment on them. I believe that Eez Products did redesign their flow through version, so they should be fine, but I have no first hand knowledge to back that statement up. 😃
@stevest.martin39405 жыл бұрын
Hi I have a quick question. On your Wrangler do you use the ant-theft or the flow through I d heard the anti theft are to long.
@WeRmudfun5 жыл бұрын
We use the anti theft sensors, but not the anti theft lock. We only have the sensors on the Wrangler while towing. We take them off the Jeep once we hit the campsite. It's easier to just remove them. The anti theft sensors are always on the RV, except for the inner tire on the dually, don't use the anti theft lock on those either.
@stevest.martin39405 жыл бұрын
WeRmudfun please explain why you need to take them off the jeep?
@WeRmudfun5 жыл бұрын
@@stevest.martin3940 You don't need to take them off. We do because sometimes we go offroading and they really stick out on the Jeep and at $35 a piece to replace if lost broken or stolen., it easier for us to just take them off. It's just part of our camp setup and breakdown. That and they are not the most attractive looking valve stem caps. LOL

how hard was it for the back inner ones to install and add air to the tires?
@WeRmudfun7 жыл бұрын
We didn't use the locks on the inner tires, that makes it a lot easier. To add air we just put the nozzle through one of the holes in the outer rim that line up with the air stem on the inner.
@edcones29487 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I just got this system and will install tomorrow. I didn't realize they could be set without installing on the actual tire. I can do them in the air conditioned shop with a trailer spare. Thanks. One question. I'm using on a tow dolly which carries 50 psi and the rear tires on the car which carries 32 psi. I guess they can't be different, huh?
@WeRmudfun7 жыл бұрын
I don't believe they can e different. Call the company and ask them if they have a way to work around that. A lot of people use a dolly, so they might have a fix for the system. Good Luck! :)
@edcones29487 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the quick response and very good video. I've watched a lot of them, and yours is far and away the best and most easily understood. I will call. But it'd be no big deal to set the low threshold below the car and the high threshold above the tow dolly. Then even if the dolly gets a slow leak it won't be flat before the alarm. ;)
@WeRmudfun7 жыл бұрын
You are welcome. Your idea should work too. The system gives you peace of mind, we like that. :)
@edcones29487 жыл бұрын
Hey, our monitor had 4 separate axles for the towed. I don't think yours was that way. I could set the tow dolly and rear tires of the car separately. That's the good news. Bad news is that I realized the tow dolly had rubber stems. Dang! I'll have to get those replaced with metal before using the tire minders. Job is done; your video was most helpful.

As other videos have shown, the anti-theft is worthless if you know how it works. You just hold the "anti-theft ring" with one hand while using the other hand to unscrew the sensor, separating the sensor from the ring. Easy. If someone has this system and needs a replacement sensor, they may simply do that and save $35 or so (2018 price), but it seems that might be a stupid risk to take in a campground. I doubt these are stolen often, but maybe I'm naive. I just never take stuff that doesn't belong to me, period. Makes life easier!
@WeRmudfun6 жыл бұрын
Yup, just like wheel locks are worthless, but they do cause someone stealing the wheels to spend a little more time getting them off vs. the same vehicle without wheel locks. I didn't pay any extra for the anti-theft for the sensors, they came with the kit and they do provide a little bit more protection from the weather. I also find it hard to believe that someone would spend $400+ for a TPMS setup then have to go and steal a $35 sensor instead of just buying another one for themselves. We're like you, if it not ours, then it's not ours, period. Too bad everyone isn't like that. :)
@gmaneis6 жыл бұрын
I've had those exact same thoughts about sensor cost and the cost of the entire system, and the extra time it would take someone to get the anti-theft rings off, but I found them far too cumbersome to twist on, and someone else here on KZbin says he's had the system 5 years, and has never lost a sensor to theft. Your peace of mind is yours, though. Nothing wrong either way if you're happy. Safe travels to you.
