we've all grown with fast guitars solo being considered a sign of greatness and skill, but there a some solos that speak for themselves in terms of quality and originality and this is one example of that.

One does not have to be a shredder. Some respected guitarists are saluted by their fine acument of chordings. Wes is one type of guitarist who does not have to shred to have his fans wooing. He's got perfect chords. :)

He has a sound of his own, gives me goose bumps. I love it!

I think wes Borland makes some of the sickest shit. He's different. He makes troublesome intimate sounding tunes that flow right through you
@belladonna199910 жыл бұрын
I love his style. I like Prince and Jack White too as guitarists but Borland's style of playing is hypnotizing.
@Bodzilla115 жыл бұрын
Borland always was an artist. he's good, he's very different.

Everyone can play a single, but wes goes one step further and makes an incredible music, is not only a guitarist, is a great artist, and probably some of the best musicians and whether his style with the guitar is unique dammit!

Song is "The Moment In Which You Realise You Are Going to Fall". It's only available on his Myspace page (Borland Galleries) and doesn't include this Solo. I did send him a message asking him about it, and he said that this version would be on BLBs next album, however.

its people who think that 'guitar solo' means "flail as fast as you can", and 'metal' means "do that in a minor dissonant scale" that ruin music. this is awesome.
@XArcane15 жыл бұрын
Pretty good. Glad some people realise it's not all about playing fast arpeggios. That's not real music. This is real music.
@Vinachorama17 жыл бұрын

I like his quirky playing, no basic blues scales and stuff, he reminds me of The Edge but ironically more Edgy As a guitarist myself it's hard to get your own sound these days, Wes has his own no doubt

For those complaining about how this sounds, remember this only sounds as good as the single microphone on the video camera has. If you were there you would have probably enjoyed it.

attention please! wes ist one of the best guitar players that I know... and many many people think the same way that I do... just look around at youtube, you can find many vids where he plays "raw"... don´t talk about things you don´t understand, learn to play guitar, try his techniques and develop an unique style like he did, then you know how difficult it is to sound good.

thats exactly what I thought you would say :| that solo > shredding anytime. I mean you can do shredding with style and so that it fits to the music (like in the end of this one) but most of it is just showing off your "gootar skills". That one has emotion and passion! It's a pity that his talents were wasted (in my opinion) in LB. I had never heard of him until now, and he's a terrific guitar player!
