@@wonder777warrior6 "huh? as a kid he idolized villains" False, he always wanted to be the hero but was always forced to be the monster and was always bullied and humiliated by the popular guys who were always the "heroes". And he started to think that since bad guys gets the role of heroes and are protected by society (always he defended himself against bulling he was the one attacked by society) when they do evil things, so monsters should be the real good guys not the heroes. "he's beating up the people who beat up the villains." Most of the heroes he beat up were literally corrupt villains, the tank-top troupe, the gatling gun guy, he even risked his life to protect the kid. He is a REAL HERO, not because he wants to be famous, but because he knows there is something wrong with society and wants to fix it. Just the abuse by other kids and society itself warped his mind, as Saitama said, he is a Good Guy. He was just put in a bad situation. Re-read his arc again, you will understand he is a real hero. Stop idolizing "heroes", the origin of this word is literally based on dictators and cruel champions of the past, cruel and evil people were called "Heroes" because they dominated the world with War.

1:08:52 about that Anime relies heavily on cultural signifiers to get across the basics of a character quickly. The pompadour, or "regent", hairstyle became popular among juvenile delinquents and gang members in post-war Japan, mostly because it was such a departure from the extremely conservative hairstyles that were the norm during WW2. Because of that association, the style is often used in pop culture like anime as a way to indicate that a character is rebellious and hotheaded, along with other common symbols like a wooden sword, bandages wrapped around the chest, a black coat worn open in the front with the collar popped, etc.

I like that you pointed out that the OPM universe is actually a pretty horrible place to live in. When you look past the fun and the humour, it's a world where you're apparently one bad day away from turning into a monster for the most stupid reason, sometimes aliens show up and blow up a city in an instant, heroes are understaffed and often have terrible response time... If you're not a named character in this show, things are looking pretty bleak.

@filipferencak2717 Жыл бұрын
@@Gunnin_yadown Well yes and no. You dont become a monster by eating too much food, Crablante didnt know what he was talking about. The real reason you monsterize is due to your emotions. When your emotions are too negative for way too long and you just break, you monsterize and the thing you were holding at the time or doing at the time can easily become integrated into your body (kinda like Garou's shirt became integrated into his body). Dr Genas said that this kind of thing stimulates unnatural rapid growth of cells that results in monsters. You also forgot about natural monsters, as in, Elder Centipede, the kings etc. Monsters that were born monsters and existed for a very long time do exist as well, it's just that monsters started showing up more and more recently.
@filipferencak2717 Жыл бұрын
@@Gunnin_yadown As for the other thing you mentioned. It's not God's decision. It's the decision of whoever God asks whether they want power. If that's what you meant by this. One Punch Man is a series where people decide their fate for themselves, that's kind of the whole idea (Saitama: "human beings are strong cuz we can change themselves").

The author of the original story is called One, and he was known for having an awesome story but really low-quality art. The artist, Murata Yusuke, who drew up the manga for it was one of One's early fans, so the premise and story didn't come from the artist. The times where you see the art style become less detailed is a reference to One's art style. You should watch Mob Psycho 100. It's another one of One's stories made into an anime, and its art style follows One's art style more closely. Also, I highly suggest watching Overlord. Not one of One's works. It's just an amazing isekai where the villains are the protagonists, and definitely one of the best isekai anime.

Every flashback you see with Saitama he never doubts himself. He constantly pushing forward. The advice that he gives to others is always "just get stronger" like its that simple. But for Saitama it is that simple, Even if its not easy. The path is clear to him.

In the manga, at some point, there's insinuation that Saitama's power might have supernatural origins. Garo is interesting too because the depth of the unfairness displayed in the trauma is also pretty random if you consider that most heroes have an origin story involving trauma too. They just happen to have the "right" trauma. Viewer is put into the position of either empathizing with Garo and thinking that they would maybe end up the same had they lived the same bs OR, thinking that Garo just learned the wrong lessons from his trauma and ultimately distancing him or herself from Garo.

Also the best option in most Dark Souls games is: run away, separate, and pick off enemies one by one, when faced with overwhelming odds. The problem is sometimes they drop you in a room where you can't do that so the best option then is overwhelming damage. 3:42:08 You figured out the formula for the show. It's all about watching everyone else fight and struggle until Saitama shows up. They actually released a OPM fighting game. It's a regular straight up 3v3 fighting game with characters from the show, including Saitama. But unlike something like a DBZ or Justice League fighting game where they either have to find a reason that all these characters with wildly disparate power levels are on an even footing or just handwave it, Saitama is true to form and can't be hurt and beats everyone else in one hit. But if you select him, it takes a few minutes for him to show up. So while your opponent has a full team of 3 characters, you have to make do with just 2 until your Saitama arrives, while a little picture-in-picture shot is in the corner of the screen of him running to the fight.
