Has anyone ever pointed out that in the beginning when he's yodeling that represents his light side and when the lights flicker and the evil voice appears that's his dark side trying to take over so at the end when he's yodeling and the lights are flickering at the same time it's the light and dark side working in unison. Basically he starts out in the light and then the darkness creeps in but by the end they're working together. At least that's my interpretation.
@UnknownPerson-rr5nz Жыл бұрын
In the end when the light flickers, I've always thought of the yotaling as the hope and his aggressive guitar playing as the evil/chaotic side❤. So similar thoughts. I think there was one or two, but I've seen so many reactions that I can't remember who.
@steveclarke2585 Жыл бұрын
I didn't see what your saying.,!

1st of all it's not "yodeling" 😄

I thought similar in the end he's given in and accepted both the yin and yang, which is why as Ren says he's able to move freely.
@duballer71 Жыл бұрын
Interesting perspective. Something that struck me that I haven't seen in any of the reaction videos I've seen is that I also think there is beauty in his discordant chaotic side. Which I think ties into the Triumph of learning to live with both the light and the dark

I like how everyone you have on is supportive of artists like Ren , Sam T, Chinchilla and others. Giving props and acknowledgement instead of ripping on people. I know from watching your show that's not what you do but their are artists that don't like to say someone is "more talented or doing great in their careers " even if in other areas. If that makes sense.... Keep up the great work, love your stuff also! Respect!

Over here in the UK there was a massive influence of Caribbean music that started even before the Windrush generation. It spawned ska and numerous other musical offshoots and influenced incredible 'white' bands like The Clash, The Police, etc. UB40 were huge in the UK at one point too. London , especially, has a huge very integrated Afro-Caribbean community and has for some time which really shows in working class culture ( from the days of rude boys , punks and skins up to the present day) over here. Perfect example of the Melting Pot being an awesome thing.
@markgoldspink5109 Жыл бұрын
Totally, you couldn't have ska, Northern Soul, Two-tone, Rocksteady etc etc.

Exactly what I wanted to say, but worded better 😅the culture here, especially the cities, how wonderfully blended it is makes way for beautiful art and music and happy people
@griffinanderson4163 Жыл бұрын
The melting pot is not an isolated phenomenon. The melting pot is universal. The melting pot are metaphors being more than a total sum of their parts. “Everything under the sun has been done.” I used to rail against that notion until I came to realization everything that can and will ever happen is happening in this very moment… we are our own worst enemies. Imho it’s all about gratitude and forgiveness

First comment! I love when you drop the "do you know what busking is" "sounds sexual" Like ayyye girl you gonna make me BUSK I love the variety of people you get to react to Ren. I thought it was refreshing in a way to see Juz J at first to be like i dont know if im feeling it, only to come around at the end and express how artistic it was and how he could relate to it as well. It speaks to people of all backgrounds and like you said P, it really is a masterpiece of our current era. The rollercoaster of Juz J seeing his range was priceless haha. Great reaction from you both! Favorite reaction channel by far and I cant wait for the interview!

I think Juz J's reaction to Hi Ren is how a lot of people react while processing Ren. Although I got the concept of Hi Ren pretty quickly and knew I was watching something special, this is what my reaction to Money Game Part 1 would have looked like. Legit. It took a little bit for my brain to comprehend what he was trying to convey in BOTH the lyrics and the video all at once. I'll admit MG1 made me feel uncomfortable, but I say that more as a compliment because the video was done with that intended purpose. I just wasn't ready for it!! MG1 is one of my favorites now.... I'm guessing when Juz J compared it to a horror film that Ren would have taken that as a compliment. 😊

Yes! Please bring Judge J back for more Ren. His reaction was genuine, his comments were insightful (kudos for nailing KRS-One), and I especially liked his humility. I've seen one too many so-called rappers react to Ren (not on your channel) with their arrogant judgey faces on, like "Yeah, I'm better than Ren", calling out the few times where they understand what he's saying, "Frankenstein!" "Trainers!", as though that proves their expertise, when they genuinely have no idea what Ren is talking about. Ren says "Fibonacci sequence", and they nod like they know exactly what that means. First, give up the arrogance and you might actually be able to learn something from Ren. Judge J was so humble, and that impressed me a lot! More, please.

The Jamaican brother probably was waiting for the pitch to open up, and he decided they weren’t going to clear off anytime soon so he better walk along to see if another us open. I finally looked it up and it has its origins in a Spanish word: buscar which means to seek in terms of travelling around in search of something . Street performing was a way such a wanderer could earn some coin.
