Something I picked up on in the video that I haven't seen anyone else mention that I thought you might like: note that Ren has 2 shadows cast in front of him. Also note that the darker of the shadows is on the viewer's left (Ren's "bad side"), but that doesn't make sense in the scene. Not only is the lamp on the right smaller and dimmer, it is also back behind the bigger lamp into a smaller, recessed, more protected(?) place, so it literally CAN'T produce the shadow on the left. Instead, the source of the darker left shadow can be trace up out of frame via the lens flares pointing straight to the shadow from an out of frame bright light above Ren's "Good Side". "...and the more intensely the light shone, the darker the shadow it cast ..."

Breaks my heart every time someone says they want to see Ren perform live, especially at a festival. In his “Love Music Part 1” he talks about playing festivals as one of his musical goals. That was originally written & recorded back in his early days, when he was a mere teenager. Ren was recently invited to play Glastonbury in Summer 2023. That’s one of the ultimate big deal shows for a poor kid growing up in the UK. Unfortunately he can’t go because his treatment in Canada is taking longer than he’d originally anticipated. I hope & pray that his Lyme treatment gets him to the point where he can perform again & that I somehow get a chance to see him. I can’t travel to many countries but I’ll do my best to go just about anywhere I can afford, money &/or health-wise because I have a feeling there won’t be many chances to catch his shows. 💜🎉

I was going to say almost exactly the same thing. Stevie's appreciation was almost instant, knowledgeable, and authentic. This was the first time I teared up because of someone else's reaction to hearing Ren. You could tell that it was resonating at a heart level. Then he started talking about frequency and how obvious it was that Ren was one with the music. Ren doesn't just write and perform it beautifully. He and the music are melded together. Thanks @BlackPegasus for sharing in this format. Stevie was definitely one of my favorite of your guests. I don't think you could ask him to wait to watch more. In "Hi Ren", the line "..break the fourth wall" is actually a term from theatre, when the performers switch to speaking to the audience. I thought that was pretty cool when I found out what it meant..

SUPER reaction! I don't think the earring thing is intentional but I think him having removed his cross earring a little while ago was intentional. I believe he may have watched an interview with NF and NF was a little annoyed that he himself had been pigeonholed into Christian rap or rock or whatever and I think Ren wants to avoid that. I know he searches and takes what he believes from whatever religion and that he just thinks we should all be good to each other regardless of what religion we belong to.
