id like to see this a modern theme on adrian mole but i still think the books are the best, im not saying its not good but it kind of misses the essence of the books, Adrian and his crush on pandora who came from an upper class family and was a feminist at 13, his father having an affair with "stick insect" and his friendship with Bert Baxter the eighties series was excellent, the first series julie walters played his mum pauline who had an affair with mr lucas next door. i was a great Adrian mole fan read the books over and over again........

@@BeckySueMusic where is Barry Kent and and grandma lol 😂 I might start reading the books again Bert Baxter was my fav - the diaries are quite sad in parts as we the reader can see things that Adrian can’t like the affair his mother had with mr Lucas which was going on right under his nose and her running off with him then stick insect lol having an affair with his dad

@@BeckySueMusic I will take a look hun - yes read some of the later books when Adrian has children of his own as well as what happens to Pandora 🤪 I’ve been a massive fan since I was thirteen 🤪 the diaries are full of wit and pathos - things the reader can see but young Adrian can’t - it’s only when he gets older he realises what a fractured child hood he had - superb x
