Thank the recovery went well. All I would suggest is a 6000 lb winch and 2 batteries. 1 battery will run the 6000 lb winch but it bogs down under heavy load. You never know what your gonna get yourself into.

Just from watching tow truck recovery videos maybe figure out a safety line to control the drop, Great video and love the honesty, stay safe!!!

Thanks for the comment. You’re probably right about the safety line.

If possible make sure your winch is wireless also. It will keep you out of harms way.

Awesome videos. If I were to give any two cents it would be to get another camera and mount it on your buddies rig so you can edit in some footage you crawlin through the trails. After all it’s your rig most people are wanting to see when they come to your channel. :)

Thanks for the feedback! As a matter of fact we have another camera for the next ride. It will be on the KRX.

Maybe put a winch with snatch block tied to the front uphill, to winch the front down without slamming

Looks like a lot of fun! I'm currently in the market for a sxs and I think I've settled on a Honda pioneer. I need it mainly for utility with some trail riding. Watching this video got me cringing when you wrecked and how much that will cost. I think I'd have to opt out of that hill.

We have a blast for sure! I’ve rode with a pioneer 1000 before. It did well on the trails. It rides a little rougher than the talon but other than that it did great. Thanks for watching and the comment!

the Pioneer is a great bike but wait till end of the month and check out what Kawasaki is coming out with there are tough bikes and the teryx comes with a 3 year warranty already just check it out. I had one and loved it I just upgraded to the KRX in the video to have a smoother ride

Loved the video! What size tires are you running on the Talon?
@BackyardOffroad12 жыл бұрын
In this video, 32” carnivores. I was pretty much stock. I’ve upgraded to 35” ACP for the wet and muddy terrain and 35” Warrior tires with bead locks for the mountains. Check out my other videos on the channel. Thanks for watching and the comment.

@@BackyardOffroad1 I’ll do that. I ride the trails on Drummond Island and I need the ground clearance w/o having to buy several different tires. Drummond has mud, clear trails and a lot of rocky terrain. The other issue I have, I can’t exceed 82” or the unit won’t fit in the garage.

Also, I’m in the market for a four seater and am going through the process of checking all the coxes with the different models I’m looking at
@BackyardOffroad12 жыл бұрын
@@jasononeal3099 we have a good variety of different tires and tire sizes shown on the channel. I would say the 32” carnivores are a good all around tire. If you have a Talon you can put them on your stock rims with no suspension modifications. You will just need to spin the aggressively to get through the mud. I think another good all around tire is the System 3 - 370s. The ACP’s are considered an all terrain but are on the more aggressive side, however, they still ride good on the road and hard pack. I just got back from Royal Blue and saw a multitude of different trail conditions and the Warriors did awesome. Video coming soon.

@@jasononeal3099 we ridden with several different popular 4 seat models over the last year. Our last Busco video shows an Can am x3 vs my Talon in some sticky spots. We also rode with a Polaris rzr turbo 4 seater in another video (he flipped). I started with a Kawasaki Teryx… All my friends had on at one point in time. I like the Talon the most for several reasons, the Polaris is second and can am third. Price, length and belts are some negatives I see with Polaris and can am. However , the power in the turbo models is unreal.

At the 15:17 mark in the video I seen a old school bus. Where exactly is that. Where that OG maverick did the back roll is in our neck of the woods in the Miller’s Creek area. And where was the trial when you turned next to that trailer home. Thanks and great video
@thomasutt40103 жыл бұрын
That's correct about the millers creek area. The school bus is not to far from there. If U go up 119 from Williamson you will get where there a tunnel u drive over but there is a old road path just before that will take u there. if u download map plus on your phone that will help out a lot or if u have a tablet download Bob T maps on there. It really helps me learn the area. I'm the one driving the KRX so if u have any Question I be glad to help as much as I can. Thanks for watching the video were hoping to have a lot more rides this year and more videos.

Nice recovery on the rollover.....I would have thought that the second rollover would have been enough to cause more damage than the first, especially since it hit so hard on the left rear suspension but it didn't.
@BackyardOffroad13 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Yeah, it could have caused some extra damage the way it hit. That wasn’t the plan... we were lucky that he drove it the rest of the trip. He’s has upgraded to some 30” carnivores since the trip. Thanks to watching and the comment!

As a former tow truck guy, I would have rolled it across the hill using a pulley block like you did first. There was a chance it could have rolled down hill onto you, better to set on wheels where is, if not, WINCH uphill to get room, never winch down hill, gravity will get you.
@craigr67633 жыл бұрын
How are you liking the talon I was looking at one then got into the reviews about the air box/ filter and some people were having engine failure because they were sucking in dust. So I got scared and now I’m looking at the can am
@BackyardOffroad13 жыл бұрын
Can am makes a good bike, but the 4 seater was too long for me and the price was higher. I have had no issues with the air box. I did read something about that before. I personally think Honda did a great job with the air box engineering. It’s high and on the chassis and well sealed and a perfect place for a turbo intercooler if you upgrade. Good luck with the search.

Love the ground clearance on the Talon. What are the tires on the Talon? Anything else you did to increase the clearance?
@BackyardOffroad13 жыл бұрын
They are 32” carnivores on the stock 15” wheels. I haven’t done anything to the suspension besides adjusting the preload nut by 3/8” on the rear, just to handle all my gear and passengers. What are you driving?
