Westbound Intermodal at Callington Curve.

I'm back at Callington Curve, at the foot of the Adelaide Hills, and this time , we get to see a Westbound Pacific National tackle the grade. After a slight hiccup / seniors moment, we catch an Eastbound in heavy Dynamics, rolling through the curve.

Thank you Sir! Most people shoot from the crossing, which gives a full view without the trees, but I prefer the elevated shot which allows a view through the cutting. I will be trying new spots on my next trip to CAllington. Cheers Gregg.

Great video Gregg, one thing I noticed are the telephone poles are metal, here in North America they are wood. Interesting how the trains are running fast both ways. Hope all is going well down there, at this time spring has turned back into winter here in Nebraska. Cheers from Terry in Nebraska.

Thank you very much! Great info , and I won't forget "Windmill Curve" for sure! I have found a few good angles to shoot from , so on my next visit I will try a new location at the curve. In the US, a 2% grade would mean 25 MPH up and 20 MPH down on the speed limit. Actual speed 11 up and about 18 down.

I tried to find the actual grade, but I know most of the Hills are around 2% , with the climb to Lofty at 2.2% . It's clear track for a while with no trains for miles and all CTC signalling. Thanks for watching. Gregg.

Well spotted sir! I miss heaps of stuff when Im shooting video...to busy getting the shot right! It's a Rabbit /Hare for sure, heaps of holes everywhere and you have to be careful not to step in one! Looks like a Plover , but I did hear Magpies around? Thanks for watching ! Cheers Gregg.
