Western Maryland

On Saturday, October 22, 2022, I finally got the chance to get the camera on a long awaited target of mine; C&O H6 'Mallet' #1309, now running as Western Maryland Scenic Railroad #1309 out of Cumberland. The weather was fantastic on this day, with foliage in the mountains at their peak for the season. This led to a fantastic day of chasing the beautiful locomotive up and down the mountain between Cumberland and Frostburg.

I was on the train that day but I unfortunately came down with the flu... Coughing a lot on the way to Frostburg and started feeling weak on the way back to Cumberland. But the ride nonetheless was amazing and perfect since the foliage was right at peak.
