Even though it has been nearly 8 years since 734 last saw Steam, not only is she still my favorite consolidation, but happy knowing she'll run again and that 1309 will be in charge of all future steam-powered runs at WMSR until the day comes 734 is back in operation.

My favorite consolidation hasn’t ran in 11 years! It is a sister to the engine here, LS&I #18 from 1910, previously worked on the Grand Canyon and Mount Hood Railways before having a stint on the Rio Grande Scenic and eventually moving to the Colbrookdale Railroad in Pennsylvania

Even though Daylight 4449, J class 611, and Big Boy 4014 were my favorites, but 734 remains my number one locomotive. Speaking of number one, 734's built in 1916, that's the same year the last three LBSCR's 0-6-0T E2 Tank engines (Thomas' Basis) were built!

I am planning to visit this railroad to see 1309, but hopefully I get to see 734 in the future as well. Also, I think the The B&O 3 chime sounds best on 734.
