You can always pick out a Canadian truck easily with their spread between the rears. The trucking company I used to work for had a bunch of DD15s in their trucks and had real good luck with them.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong,but I believe the Detroit DD engine's are actually Mercedes... unfortunately there is no resemblance to a 60 series..if I'm not mistaken

@@elroyelblander6277 In the beginning DDC did have some influence on the design of the DD13, DD15 and DD16 and was the first to bring them to production. The same engines are used in Mercedes and Fuso trucks. Detroit is now a brand of Daimler (Mercedes) with engines, axles and transmissions branded Detroit. The engine is this truck was machined and assembled in Detroit MI. The aftertreatment system was designed and developed in Detroit and manufactured in Michigan. The calibration and emission certification was all done in Detroit as well.

Thats nice truck we have a 2014 glider same motor and transmission as yours we are over 100,000 lb haven't had a problem on the stacks for Detroits big always sounds better deep rumble 6in to 8in pipes

That westernstar would make a excellent farm truck here in minnesota just stretch the fram a little more and put a steerable third axle on it and a 22ft grain box from cysteel truck equipment it would make the perfect truck to haul sweetcorn,sugar beets and grain. Hey Jared try driving a rigid suspension compared to an air ride suspension you will appreciate the air ride suspension over the rigid suspension for sure especially if you have a really bad back

Awesome truck. Drove a 4900 straight truck with a 5000 gallon husky tanker on it with a 425 mechanical cat and loved it. Western stay is one of my favorite style trucks. Can't wait to see and hear the weight loss. The DD15's sound pretty good once they lose weight.

Hey there Andy and crew, I hope this finds you all well and good. I must've missed the W 900 install? The Freight Shakers and Western Stars are predominantly made less than 2 hours South of me in Cleveland North Carolina. Every Volvo that's sold in North America is built 20 miles West of me in Dublin Virginia, in the largest truck manufacturing plant in North America. It's an incredible campus, on about 300 acres, which includes their own Test Track, which every new truck is run on before being shipped to Dealerships. I hope y'all have a good one my friend.
