I’m from north China and our dried persimmons are flat, possibly because our persimmons are naturally flatter in shape and therefore easier to be dried flat. I know some other regions hang the persimmons in the drying process. I’d never seen persimmons soaked in water though. In the north we sometimes freeze the persimmons and eat then half defrost and they taste like sorbet. It’s fascinating to see people handle food in different ways.

Im from the Philippines and I'm very much proud to say that I'm unfamiliar to these yellowish fruit back then, well I've seen these mostly in Li Ziqis videos and just as what she did after peeling the persimons she hanged it to let it dry then if I'm not mistaken there was a part that she even fermented the other persimon so I'm not really surprised about these idea but it made me realize that different places around the world has its own difference and that difference makes it one of a kind. Though I'm really happy because these video mostly makes me relaxed, enjoyed and even learned different things.To the uploader right there pls keep uploading more entertaining and at the same time relaxing videos and with these I'll give you an outstanding remark

We have persimmon on our farm here in America also. We use it to make pudding and bread. This is typically an autumn and winter food for us, and we eat it during our Thanksgiving and Christmas celebration meals. Not very popular though as it is hard to find available in stores. We have a few trees on our farm, so we get to eat it.

Nikki Ligo It’s sweet and crunchy when it’s slightly ripe. When it has fully ripen, it’s even sweeter. It’s similar to papaya but more delicious. I’m not sure if it grows in the tropics either but we are in California, it’s warm most of the year.
