Seems like this is the kind of game a lot of Battlefield players wanted from the get go. I played Operation Flashpoint back in the day (basically a primitive version of today's ARMA, but still amazing, made by the same devs) so it's awesome seeing this one get so much playtime and appreciation. I don't have the hardware to run this one smoothly unfortunately and cloud gaming isn't performing well enough for me, but hopefully by the time I have my gaming PC fixed or have enough money for a better laptop I'll be able to join in while it's still popping off. I don’t think respawns should cost supplies if you take default loadouts. It should only cost if you’ve created, saved and load in with a custom loadout.

How does progression work In terms of weapons, optics, nvg… are progression server side so if you change servers, you start from scratch ?

There is no progression per se… it’s all about supplies. If a spawn point doesn’t have supplies, you can’t spawn vehicles, loadouts, healing items etc. So your team has to capture and then resupply different points to keep control of the area, plus defend the points as well 👍

I had this problem when i started out until i started speaking.. then most people end up replying. The problem is a lot of new players show up thinking that its going to be toxic as a mw2 lobby "you f*cking squeaker! Your mum innit." and become too shy to be the first voice on radio when in reality were here to play as a team. Ive had great interactions in this game personally. Catch you on frontlines.

The PS5 version doesn’t have access to the mods, which is a big part of the game you’re watching in this video. There’s no news on when mod support might come either unfortunately, it’s up to Sony to allow it.

Man, Im seeing your hits on enemy result in instant damage. Servers Ive been able to get on are horrible. Like dump a whole mag in someone and they turn and return fire . I noticed the Server frames here are in the high 20’s. Ive been lucky to get a server that isnt at 5 server frames

Discord comms is pretty common amongst PC gamers. Before that it was Teamspeak, before that Ventrillo/Skype etc.

@Westie oh yeah I get that. But in this game, the proximity chat is huge. That is why I dont like the Discord chat. In the end, you and your teammate can speak freely, constantly, while most, probably more casual, players give away info/position while doing so. It is a MilSim right? So, I wish there was a way to prevent Discord. On Vanilla servers, some groups make solo squads, so they can see themselves on the map, and dont have to navigate. I think all that stuff is just a shame and not how the game was intended. Just my two cents.

For PC that could be the case, console definatly not (as its quite a hassle to switch to gamechat). And you can clearly hear most opponents of most Arma youtubers talk over their mics... But hey, just my opinion ofcourse. Would be a bit weird to play Among Us and go in a private chat with one mate. In this game voice chat is a feature. Unfortunatly, but understandable, use of external programs for, in this case, Shooters, have been normalized. If it is not a form of cheating, then maybe Arma should take it out of the game? So that Prox chat can only be heard by teammates.

​@@rpa4110discord is common in reforger due to the way prox chat works. In Arma 3 there were different types of prox chat such as whisper, talk, yell. In reforger there is just a chat anyone can here within like 50m radius, and since the ps5 update it now shows the mic symbol on the hud and the player name due to Sony, therefore making prox chat a death sentence and not really immersive
