I started bass fishing this past summer (LI, NY), and quickly became totally addicted. I decided to hold off on buying myself a pricey kayak, and instead, ordered myself a hero10 the other day to start making content as a beginner's journey while I continue fishing the different banks nearby and really focus on learning different techniques. Knowing I will use the camera literally every time I am out there makes me feel great about the change in direction. As someone beginning this process, your video is extremely helpful and very well delivered. I already know I need to cut the "um" and questionable language from my vocabulary after hearing how clearly you deliver. Like anything, I know it will get better and second nature over time. I appreciate the info and look forward to watching some more of your stuff. This was the first of many for me.

Hi Westin, I really appreciate the advice. A couple of things I got out of this video to grow my channel... 1. chest mount is a must, 2. 1080 is usually fine, 3. batteries(will go bad so go with cheap ones) Thanks!

I’ve been thinking about starting to make videos myself, but just for fun to share with friends and family. My wife even told me to buy a GoPro last year when I started to get back into fishing which I thought was cool. My only real hang up is I’m not to tec savvy, but It’s definitely inspiring from the content to the editing man. The fact that you actually take the time to read your followers comments and reply is really cool too. Keep up the great work 🤙

Thank you for the video! Going to subscribe because of it! Quick question, do you film just none stop or do you do something like loop mode? Is there a way to break up a full like 8+ hour day of fishing with maybe only like 5-10 catches and a lot of less exciting stuff in between? I have not tried any filming/editing yet and the thought of going through 8 hours of footage (or 16 with 2 cameras rolling 😳) to make a 15 minute video sounds awful 🤣
@anthonyparrinello65622 жыл бұрын
I am beginning myself - just ordered the hero10 and it has a "hindsight" feature that allows you to see the 30sec before you hit record button, because it is constantly recording and dumping to give you the 30sec before the button is pressed. This way you still capture hookset and can save battery and tons of space/time without filling a card with the stuff you would trim out anyway.
@Tomcat19572 жыл бұрын
Thanks, just what I wanted, good job

Any experience with the Hero 9 and or 10 down for fishing? I hear all the issues related to overheating and it's got me nervous, but I'd like the front screen if I'm gonna upgrade from my 7 Silver. I run off a battery pack so the other key feature I'm gaining is the loop function. Apparently people wised up that the old Black models are still popular because prices seem to have gone way up, otherwise I'd probably just buy one of those.
