I bought one just like this 2 momths ago. I love it. By the serial number, yours is from 1984. Mine is from 1985. Amazing piece

Great bass. I have a couple of Westone catalogues and this is what they say about the controls: the control knob nearest the pickup is the master volume, the next one is master tone and the one nearest the bridge is described as the equaliser tone. The first switch is dual tone switch and the second switch is the equaliser switch. I used to have a Westone Paduak and a Westone Corsair Classic which was designed by Sid Poole and made in the Status factory in England. Both cracking guitars--wish I hadn't sold them.
