Westsail 32 Tortuga - 2024 Year in Review!

Tortuga celebrated her 50th birthday this year! She came out of the Westsail molds in Costa Mesa, June 1974 as hull #207. Hard to believe that she’s been in my stewardship for 26 years!

Great videos true love them! But you might want to move your aft fair lead forward, or add a snatch block on your genoe sheet to improve your sheet angle

Great compilation! I'm in the process of finding a W32, and trying to learn about the pros and cons of their various setups. I noticed that you have a loose-footed staysail. What are the benefits and disadvantages of that mode, compared to having a staysail boom? Thanks!

I like not having a boom on deck and the loose footed staysail, but short handed there is something to be said for short tacking and not having to sheet it in all the time with a boom. I think it comes down to person preference.
