One of my favorite memories is riding to a push/pull meet in Wintersville with Louie, Dave (shotgun), and Gritter to support a group from Westside. Anyone who's ever ridden with Louie on the interstate can probably attest to that being either a thrilling or terrifying experience! LOLOL The conversation that I got to listen to that day was priceless- so much information about training, technique, etc. Regarding meets today.......sadly, I don't think they come close to the intensity of the meets that I remember fondly: Mike Hill's meets in West Virginia (mentioned in this vid) and the Iron House meets put on by Brent Tracy and later Mike Maxwell. Doubtful that Wendler remembers, but after bombing out in the bench at one of the meets at the Longaberger Hotel, I punched the door while stomping out of the warmup room to the hallway. The door flew open, narrowly missing Wendler, who jumped back with a "Whoa!" Don't remember if I apologized at the time, but I've always been grateful I didn't hit him, because getting my ass kicked would've made the weekend even worse! LOLOL

14:00 I completely agree. I have super bad social anxiety and confidence issues. The only place where I can come out and be myself is in a gym

Hell yeah some good story's from the men who taught me what GPP really is. I'm going to go push my prowler down the street.

I am so grateful to be able to learn so much from them instead of learning the hard way on my own, like them!🙏🏻👌🏻🏆

I feel like I'm in good company now. I pushed my hernia back in for years before finally getting it fixed.

I saw what you guys did to Joey with those hamstring curls, to think he was subjected to 3.5 hours of that RPE 1000 training is horrifying.

Couldn’t agree more with the comfortable feeling in the gym! Myself and my son only feel like we can be ourselves when training! All my closest friends have been made there

What they're describing is for me, how it feels to compete in strongman. My gym is half an hour from me, next closest strongman gym is an hour and a half

Goes to show , it doesn’t matter what you do outside the gym, once in , you lift and shut up ... except when busting each other’s balls

Y'all talk over eachother a lot and then try to be louder than the other guy.
