What if the question being asked is a noble one with a dark connotation. What if William wanted to ask, what if there were no consumers to market to? What if instead of poor people working and struggling, suffering and causing chaos, there were only hosts? Working in factories or service jobs or following their safe little narratives, stopping motion when told, being swayed with the swipe of a bar, remembering or forgetting what they were told, an entire world of Westworld? I think that is the Weapon, the machinery that is meant to create this world.

When you mentioned Delos's power and perceived benevolence in the outside world, I'm reminded of the scene when The Man in Black is recognized as the majority owner of Delos by another guest, who mentions what great work he's done. The Man in Black tells him in no uncertain terms to shut up or suffer the consequences. Also, I'm wondering if Bernard's brain case never does get fixed. Instead, he downloads himself into one of the copies Charlotte uncovers.

The only thing that has me stumped is: where is the twist?. The obvious inclusions on the DNA collection may mean it's a red herring for the viewer. I feel like there needs to be something more like, an this may be much, many of the human cast are actually host.

I suspect the code inside peter abernathy its the Arnold mind to be used To create the monologue for the consciense . Remember during the first season episode 3 the scene between Ford and Bernard when he ask about Arnold .

good theory, it could be that the hosts in storage behind this "door" could be copies of guests that the company hasn't murdered yet to replace them in the real world, and maybe even people within the Delos company. If anyone finds out about James Delos and Williams secret the company will be fucked. Also, I can see logan finding out about this plan in the past and try to blackmail William, resulting in his ultimate demise by william.

I think they made a device that allows them to control people's minds. The question Williams refer to as "no one ever dreamed of asking" is how to make a person make a decision that they have never contemplated in their entire life, as he did when he first visited the park. How to push the right button inside a person's mind to make them do whatever you want.

This is super fascinating to me. Hax Dogma did a video @the Valley Beyond. He talks about possibly creating new body parts. Since I have experienced having my life in the hands of another, I'm super curious. My 1st Heart surgery to replace my Aortic Valve they used a Cadaver Valve. A body part from another human. My 2nd Valve replacement they used an artificial valve. I'm not exactly sure what it's made of. They surgeon uses robotic technology to perform the surgery. What if one day any body part or disease you have could easily b replaced? Are they using the DNA collected for something like that? Or is it about knowledge and leverage over some of the most powerful people in the world? Could I have access to this kind of technology one day? This was WONDERFUL as always. Holy crap. Robert; I think you nailed it again! I'm still holding out to see if Logan was really shooting street drugs or a medicine to combat an illness, but I believe the bunker's contents does boil down to one of the two options you pose here. I think the more simpler, thus easier to conceal one is the building and housing of the hosts, rather than a full scale, staffed and equipped facility needing stocking, staff changes and the like. Too much activity, IMO.

So my only thinking about the whole idea that they are creating replicas of people, not that I disagree with this idea, is that in Season 1 Charlotte goes to the William for his approval to proceed with their plan in getting rid of Ford and presumably their agenda. Is William just now realizing, with the host becoming aware that this was his biggest mistake? It sounded to me like years of regret. If he regretted what he started he had the power all along to stop it. I think the two ideas of gathering DNA to create replicas and his mistake are two different things. Robert, this was another great video. Look forward to the livestream later on.

I think the idea of Delos replacing influential people in the real world is incredibly far fetched and I sincerely hope that the showrunners didn't choose it. There is a virtually infinite number of ways how even a perfect carbon copy of a person would still be outed as a fake. Do they remember the secret nickname they gave their spouse? Do they remember their old email password? Do they remember the details of the complicated proof of the mathematical theorem they proved in their PhD dissertation 15 years ago? The only way out of this is if they go with the mind-copying approach, which means they need not only grow a new physical version, but transfer the contents of their mind into that new version somehow, or alternatively by replacing every single person the replaced person has been in closer contact with. I think we should ask ourselves the following question: If the technological capacities availabe in Westworld were really in the hands of a corporation for which all moral considerations are secondary, then how would they ACTUALLY use that power? I really don't think that the VIP-copy and replace is the answer, it feels hamfisted, unrealistic, and ultimately an incredibily convoluted, risky, and ineffective solution to whatever goal Delos may have.

I just wonder if the guests are not just hosts and the whole rebellion is just not another level, storyline of Westworld. The fact this all started when Ford was launching his new storyline made me think the rebellion was the actual new storyline he was talking about.

I really enjoy your videos. Intellectually they are far superior then the low brow mess that's usually on youtube. But I do have to point out that I have never seen that disclaimer from Delos you showed. Did I miss it in a episode or was that something you find online somewhere? Anyway, just because a park goer signed a contract doesn't make it legal, irrevocable, non voidable or enforceable. Contracts can be voidable or right out void. In this case it's likely that there are several areas where the Delos data gathering is deemed illegal even with a signed contract. For example, minors are likely considered not to have legal capacity to enter such a contract; one or more terms in the contract are unconscionable, and it's possible that the contract breaches the Constitutional protected right to privacy. It is likely that the contract is void on it's face. If not, it's surely voidable if anyone seeks to have it voided.

nialcc - Thank you! The contract is buried in the Delos Destinations website (or, at least, it was ... they change it regularly to match what is happening on the show). You're right, of course, everything is legally contestable, but the fact that certain things are included is indicative of Delos's intentions, IMO.

Oh absolutely. If you're faced with a contract like that, all kind of red flags should be flying at full staff. But 90% of people don't even fully read a contract before signing And until someone is made aware of or directly hurt by Delos' actions most people wouldn't ever know.

If they can be controlled by Delos, think of implications, rich and powerful host people doing their bidding. Delos could take over entire political systems, economies and countries with well-placed, influential hosts!

I think you need to remember that this show is set approx. 35 years into the future but you insist on constructing conspiracy theories that we are aware of now, in the early 2000's. The only way the set of theories you are suggesting would be viable would be if the writers wanted to make the show a parable or a morality play for our present times. As in, "Watch out kids Facebook and Google are going to eat your brains." We already know that now. What will people 35 years from now be wary of? I would be seriously pissed off if that was the case. You have not managed to weave into your theory. What is Ford's Grand Plan and why he needed to kill himself because if anyone knew what Delos' nefarious plot of "World Domination" (evil cackle) was going to be it would be Ford. Why did Ford say that Beethoven and Mozart live on inside their music. Surely not some throwaway line or a metaphor. What about the "Host" woman and child shown during the opening credits. Surely a reference to Jesus and Mary and who is God"? Has Ford insinuated his consciousness into all Hosts as some form of voice moving them by controlling their subconscious which of course, like God, he would be everywhere in real time.

Hard to explain but I find Wood to just be a boring person and all this talk of how great she is on Westworld does not resonate with me. She comes off just flat and the scenes I like least in West World are the ones she is in but worse is when Teddy is there. The Teddy character is even more boring than she is. She was cast because she is actually naturally robotic and one dimensional.

The problem with Teddy is that he feels like he has to follow whatever Dolores wants so that is why his character might seem bland. He is playing off a robotic performance so it's not much to work with. But hopefully he snaps out of it and becomes his own person and more interesting in his own storyline as a true hero.
