Whoops! Couple notes, the first time we see the healing gun used on a human is Season One! Also the ending has a typo, immorality was of course suppose to be immortality. I've since fired and rehired myself as an editor, I have learned my lesson!

I agree that offering immortality to guests ( the reason for collecting DNA ) was the end game plan for Delo's. it is very possible that Abernathy, is actually the host body that old man Delos was uploaded to, either William enslaved him, to take full control of the company, or as a result of this not being perfected technology, the upload did not fully work out. But I ask myself , how can this be a weapon? well lets say, they have already uploaded the minds of some of the richest wealthiest people on the planet into host bodies. ( immortality ). and what if those people with host bodies have an over-ride ? I mean, a leader somewhere with a artificial body under Dolores control, could press a nuclear button, and we have judgment day. this could be what Logan was referring to.

I think MIB is an avatar for the real William / MIB and / or that the RL human is safe at home controlling the avatar (playing the game) that has a copy of an uploaded consciousness or direct remote control. It could be quite possible by this time to upload your consciousness into several android bodies and have multiple back ups of your consciousness (borrowing from Altered Carbon). I am not sure which human you refer to as using the healing gun in season 1, but if it was Felix and Sylvester it has been argued that they are bots too.

Maybe I missed something - I'll have to watch it again. Maeve is fast becoming my favorite character. Calling Delores out on her hypocrisy was the highlight of the episode imho. Thanks again. 2:48 i confused the host on the left with Kissy (the host MIB scalps s1e1) at first. After digging around i learned that the actor (Eddie Rouse) had died and that the character apparently had "a very cool character arc laid out..." so i'm now thinking that Kissy was originaly going to fill the role Akecheta (Zahn McClarnon) played/is playing, not that we will ever know i guess. keep up the good content!

Great video. I was watching Emergency Awesome and I was wondering, since the hosts were outside Westworld, did they have the explosive device in them at this early stage? We know that Maeve had a new body made without the device so that she was free to leave the park. What do you think? Or, is it possible that this city is still within the confines of the park.

Yea I'm thinking like Dave stated, preventions like those were probably pushed down once the big investors came in and insurance companies demanded more in-depth ways to prevent loss. It's all speculation of course, but I think that makes sense!

I was kind of thinking that the "weapon" was the recordings of what all the guests did there. That would be a very powerful weapon for Dolores to have, especially if it implicates world leaders and other people in power.

Yea couldn't agree more, the idea of the data collection being turned around and then released to the entire world would cause a VERY damaging blow. I think it could be used in this sense, but my theory includes this as the weapon and the valley beyond as well, human immortality!

The weapon in my opinion, is that Delos developed a way to upload human consciousness into host bodies , and that there are already very powerful rich people that secretly have already purchased immortality. if Dolores has access to controlling these people, she could create world wars. have people release bio-weapons etc. she could in fact destroy all humans. blackmail can only go so far, you are not going to blackmail someone to kill themselves and everyone. and their is much more profit for Delos, to offer immortality, this is why DNA of guests are being taken. DNA only has the ability to create a clone look a like, but personality, experiences, and history of that individual cannot be copied from DNA, or watching someone a few days in a park.

Did you notice the repeating phrase: "Theres not a man alive that talk to me like that" said by James Delos to William and before (in season 1) by the man in black to Lawrence. So they introduced 2 repeating phrases this episode. The other one being by dolores to clearly show that shes a host. Seems like subtle foreshadowing to me. Your joke about the man in black being a host may have some weight behind it. Theres also a couple of other things that I personally think makes sense if we assume the man in black is a host. Would love to hear your thoughts about it in a video! Love these vids!

I’ve been watching for this exact thing recently... I think when we get a little more evidence this will be covered, 100%. The big omg this could be real moment, was in S2E2 when him and James are talking at party and the last word he states ( I forget it now) but it was distorted ever so slightly. As if he was a host coming to terms with his own bicameral mind, hearing his programming ;)

James sais he may not have to retire despite his bad health but they just end the scene after that, and clearly they had the means to "download a person" into a host since bernard is from those days. Man in black may be James, not william. James character of "only being interested in reality" is in same vein as the man in blacks. Its all just theories ar this point which is what makes this a great show!

I think so too, I've looked at all the pictures comparing the two mountain ranges and I don't really see a pattern. So the 'proof' isn't there, but I also agree that these are the same place. Just because of how they've framed them so far.

Camera lingered too long - twice - on the moulded masonry of Bernards home from home for it to not be cementing the image in our minds, pun intended. The next time we see Dolores' hand trace the pattern in the stone, will it be a reveal - they were here along! - or confirmation of an arrival and a new beginning? Just a thought

I noticed that as well. Also note that she touches some water that is holding in the decorative blocks and rubs it between her fingers. She does the same thing with the tears of the Delos board member in the maintenance facility. Misdirection, or significant?

So my thinking is this: I believe that the host's core ''engine'' in its head must be the most expensive and diffuclt technology in a host. Now, many visitors to the park probably kill hosts by a headshot (we all know how satisfying it is giving out headshots in a FPS) If Dellos were to reconstruct this expensive technology everytime a host gets a headshot, it could be very expensive, and we know that they are always trying to keep down their expenses (just like the new material hosts are made of) I therefore believe that the core must be made from a bullet-safe material, thus making the hosts pretty much invincible by pure physical force. Except you chop them up in dozens of pieces or blow them up I guess... :D Let me know what you think guys

Totally agree, I think this center core and retaining wall around it are pretty durable! But with Bernard’s current injury being a headshot that caused the damage (and his issues) I think maybe they haven’t given enough evidence to support this. It 100% makes sense that this would be included as a design feature: make the billion dollar IP holder bullet proof haha

Why is old William using the burning torch to heal his wound such a revelation for you guys? When Maeve cut the throat of one of the moronic butchers in season 1 they also healed him up this way. I know Maeves storyline in season 1 was stupid and boring but did you all forget about that?
