The way Charlotte greets Bernard when they meet again suggests that she may be aware that he's a Host and not a Human.

"He seems to keep slipping away from us" I think refers to Bernards time slippage and not Peter Abernathy. Perhaps those red cards in ep 1 with the different staff members on them refers to high priority hosts that Delos wants recovered.

I think people might be missing out on one of the biggest mysteries of Westworld right now, it goes back to season 1 and the bicameral mind. How come they can hardline into hosts and access data/adjust parameters, but to play back recordings, they have to physically remove the CPU from the host's head. So many questions around this little white computer in their brain.

I think they removed the computer brain module because the body was damaged perhaps? Entirely speculation but we as an audience needed to see that scene so we could better understand the host anatomy!

It just seems Westorld's style to leave something in plain sight, but with subtle clues as to whats really going on. There is also that scene with Bernard and Charlotte where the drone hosts are using a device to remove the CPU unit for collecting data. Again, why go through the trouble of opening a head if you could just plug into the host's arm? We know from the previews there may be a scene showing one of these CPUs being built, so can't wait to find out more.

i predict that the blonde guy who got rekt at the safari will come back in host form. they spent so much time on him, and establishing him as human and her skepticism, and i think it will provide quite a jarring moment and nice narrative motif when we see her see the host him, under circumstances where she'll probably have to play along in some fashion, temporarily

At first I wondered why he was angry that Hector would fall for Maev. Then Maev confirmed that he created Hector as his ideal self who, instead of dwelling on a failed relationship, went on to find someone else. That sequence blew my mind and had me pause the show to do some introspection.

Great stuff! Have you noticed that 'modern' guns (as in 7:44 of this clip) are tested, presented but not used in the following(?) fort battle? Does it mean they history is also in the Cradle simulation - but whose and why would the guns 'survive' simulation reset? disclaimer - I still haven't watch 5th episode.

O.K. Chris. From what you showed of the email you received from DELOS. My guess for what the Cradle is pretty simple and straightforward. I'm sure Delos would want to make sure all the elements in each park is as historically accurate as possible. Down to the smallest details. I mean, if I were paying $40K to go somewhere that's supposed to b like the Wild West, or panning for Gold, visiting India, Japan, and whatever the other parks contain- I personally would expect it to b as accurate as possible. Maybe the Cradle develops and monitors those things. And without it...the individual parks could turn into all kinds of craziness. Like they're doing now. A Samurai in Klondike narrative? The parks appear to b pretty close together. Also, a Bengal Tiger in the developing American West? MAYHEM!!

The cradle will run simulations which help design the most successful and entertaining narratives for guests. But we're also going to find that it has real world application. Perhaps it will teach us how to create clones with modified genetics which allow us to break free of the programed traits we hate about ourselves.

I think Bernard is Delos. when he wakes up on the beach, the guy tells one of the soldiers to lower her weapon saying "you don't want to shoot the boss do you?". I think Bernard transferred Delos conciousness into himself from Peter.

I’ve never heard of a Judas steer, but I know Judas goats are trained to make friends with herds of sheep and other goats and act kind of like a shepherd or sheepdog, or whatever...and then lead the whole lot of them to slaughter...of course as the Judas goat steps cleanly to the side; don’t want to lose a good Judas goat. 😉👌🏻

i recognised the TIGER from last season the min it popped up and it confirmed its identify the second it attacked Grace and she shot him falling into the lake... i am surprised that you being such a keen observer weren't able to pick it up... the story this seasons very revealing and in retrospective the element of surprise and keeping the story hidden till its big reveal like Season 1 isn't exactly what it is in Season 2 .. still its a very good show!

I know Teddy Roosevelt was a huge hunter and traveler. He's in the mini series based on the book THE ALIENIST by Caleb Carr. What a great book. And the t.v. adaptation was excellent. He's young in that story. It's 1896 and he's the Police Commissioner of New York City. Trying to clean out ALL the corruption. Maybe I'm being too nit picky, but I don't think that actor really looks enough like him to b him. Watch/read The ALIENIST if u get a chance!!

the small puppo was the star of this episode for real. I was SO happy. If I was rich, i'd get a host puppo that could never die. ALSO, i think the cradle is the main memory core for everything. It's like flight simulator but for story lines. it's a gigantic computer that can simulate story lines AND have the power to store all of those possibilities. I imagine the cradle is used for malice by rich delos people to manipulate real life people as well or test out war strategies.

The cradle make me think first of the opening credit with the mother and baby. The cradle description remind me of a womb or a place for new life to adjust to the new world. Transition from womb to Life that is our own. I think of swaddled babies that need to be nurtured and cared for. I think of the church or rather under the church as a good example. I paused video at 3:25. I started a chat on the Amino app. I was noticing all the people guessing she is Theresa's daughter or the MIB's. I agree with you. I don't think she is either. I directed people to your Valley Beyond video because of that symbol in her Journal. That notebook is extremely important to "Grace" and she keeps it closely guarded. It looks like she's been working on it for a while. Especially the hand drawn map and location of the DELOS lab. Maybe that important Data is transferred to Bernard. That might explain the brief shot we've seen of Charlotte Hale finding the other Bernard hosts stored in that room. Wherever that is!! I understand Charlotte has an extremely important job she's tasked with, but I just keep REALLY disliking, almost want to use the word HATE, more and more!! Starting back at 11:30mins. I also think from trailer for Episode 4 that Major Craddok is going to b giving Dolores some trouble down the road. It looks like he might actually team up with the MIB!!

As a news junkie, I'd enjoy "Grace" as an investigative reporter. MIB's daughter Emily doesn't seem to fit as nicely into the relevance of the narrative (though she does bear minute resemblance to William's wife). The Ghost nation narrative is somewhat confounding from the POV that they have their own language that Hector also speaks. Could Sizemore actually create this language so its is understood between hosts, or is it something else - is Maeve's lack of control control over the Ghost Nation a matter of language? Must she state the commands in their language to be understood?

Hey HotFly! So I cut this part out of the video because it was getting too long, but I believe Elsie and Stubbs are together right now and Elsie reprogrammed the hosts to capture and protect humans. I think the language thing was just to showcase their difference but I think the commands can be in any language and still work. Otherwise we would have to assume a human telling a dog to cease all motor functions wouldn’t work! So my thought is maybe Elsie put some kind of protection to only listen to her commands perhaps? She was a really good programmer, taking after Bernard himself. We have a lot of ways they could go with this, but overall I think it’s somewhere around that!

They have said on the show the world outside is a world of plenty and a lot of problems have been solved which ends up creating new problems in of itself. Problems that places like Westworld have stepped in to fill with their brand of solution. It doesn't appear there are problems with overpopulation or disease.

A couple things with that is that she is described as being an experienced Park goer, so one can deduce she must be wealthy or at least come from a wealthy family. Doesn’t mean she still couldn’t be a reporter but she’s definitely someone whose an experienced player just like MIB so it would make sense if she was MIB’s daughter having grown up her family owning the park and getting to go for free. But if she’s not a family member then she could be some sort of rival force trying to find and expose the true purpose of the park sort of like a reporter would do. Or even more plausible a high-up in another company or someone from the government even possibly.
