I feel like this season is not much about continuity of previous seasons, but a real portrait of what the world has come to, theres a lot of hidden truth in the concepts and subjects they are bringing. Thats why they purposely jumped the shark with the game of thrones cameo. If you know their other works you will see this. the leftovers, Lost... they all try to show this truth about this fake world we live in

About that bar in Jakarta, there is a mention of unrest in the streets. To me, it’s understandable that the wealthy would be happy with their futures. If they hadn't been going to make it, Rehoboam wouldn't have invested in them. Similarly, on the train two episodes ago, most people's predictions were quite awful. It makes sense that people using public transport wouldn't be that well off with their fates. This is just one of the thoughts I had yesterday. I don’t know why I was expecting your video on Wednesday, but thinking about it I ended up writing down 2600 words of my own notes up until this point. That is only 35 minutes into the episode. So yeah, you’re an inspiration :)

Maeve's intention in the season has always been unclear to me. If she wants to be reunited with her daughter, wouldn't killing Dolores prevent her from ever finding out that virtual haven? And in the previous seasons she was so willing to send Hector to his demise MULTIPLE times PLUS giving up in the simulation as soon as she failed to persuade Hector to go with her before she realized she was in a simulation so I don't think Hector's death would've led her to want to throw away the only chance she had at reuniting with her daughter again!

How's this for a therory? Demolition Man homage... Maeve will be the one to kill Serac. Her script is very similar to Wesley Snipes roll in Demolition Man. She will meet up with her team and Serac. Who in his hast did not put the same defence / safety mechanism in her team. She will smile at Serac and say I'd love to kill you He will retort with "But you Can't" then she'll turn and say but they can as the run him throgh with their kantanas or just shot him. Thus protecting her daughter's world.

Everytime I see Rehoboam circle, at the beginning it looks like perfect eclipse, but after Dolores leaks the data, it became more like the eye anatomy, the anomaly always show up on the other side of the circle, which can be the part of retina in eye which responsible to receive light and create visual perception to the brain. I don't know what correlation is, but maybe it symbolises "retinal detachment" of Rehoboam. Which also symbolise that Rehoboam lost his sight to the world. And also for the pass pawn, what if it actually also refer to Solomon? Solomon was contained, but Dolores gave him a chance for another project. Sorry for my English btw.

I don't understand all the confusion over Mauve's motivations. Mauve is a selfish character, that only cares about herself. That had always been the case. She "awoken" Hector and Armistice only to use them in helping her escape the park. She always planned to leave them behind. She only felt sympathy for the geisha because she was another version of Mauve herself. Mauve wanted to find her "daughter" because in Mauve's narcissistic mind, the little girl belongs to her. Whether she remembers Mauve or love her "new" mom are irrelevant to Mauve. Mauve distrusts Deloris because Mauve distrusts everyone. She can't fathom someone going out of their way to sacrifice of themselves for others. Serac knows all of this, so a slight threat to Mauve's own safety combined with the promise of giving Mauve the things she selfishly wants (her daughter) is all it takes for Mauve to turn a blind eye to the rest of her kind being eradicated. I doubt that Hanaryo or Clementine will ok with this down the line

Not sure if his positioning is important, but, if Serac left the hologram message for his brother, why does his hologram pop up facing the direction it does? Wouldn't Jean Mi, if he "awoke", be exiting the facility from cold-storage as opposed to entering the facility like Dolores and Caleb? Could be as simple as the hologram is aware enough to face whoever shows up, but Serac-hologram doesn't track with Dolores or Caleb (they circle him and he keeps talking without facing them). 12:00 - For what it's worth, from very early on, I wanted to know who that was Delores was talking to on her earpiece. If you turn on captions on your media player, the English subtitles actually clue you into additional details you don't get otherwise. The captions refer to the voice on the other side of Delores' conversations as "VIRTUAL ASSISTANT" which I'm going to assume is accurate and not intentionally deceptive. Up until now, every truth has been hiding in plain sight so I'd be very surprised if this was a lie. Then again, Season 3 has kicked my ass in terms of predicting key plot lines. The only thing I clearly got right was that Delores specifically picked Caleb and didn't accidentally end up being saved by him. Indeed, it appears that pretty much everything that has happened up to this point was well within Delores Prime's plans and expectations. But Caleb's encounter with Solomon is clearly a pivot point.

This threw me when Maeve said that, but thinking about it, if the chronology follows as depicted in this episode, Maeve would know that Dolores has lost Hale (who has leaked information), Martin (whose pearl Hale took), and Sato (who has been beheaded by Clementine and Hanaryo). She may think that all of Dolores' allies were eliminated. As Caleb is a human, she wouldn't be able to detect him through her Host superpowers. That's my guess.

You've given me an idea. I had an earlier theory at the end of last week, about how this is all really just The Tempest. With Serac as Prospero, Maeve as Arial, and Hale as Caliban, while Delores and Caleb are Miranda and Ferdinand. Now while that's still possible, what if what we're seeing here is really more like The Matrix, and in fact it's a simulation that Rohoboem has run before, more than once, and that's why the dates don't match up, and why Maeve and Delores seem to be "out of time" in that confrontation at Solomon's Facility? Further going into the "this is all a simulation" that has been part of the idea all along?

It was a very odd moment for her, and I'd like to think it's a callback to her first loop. Maybe that's also why Bernard is around (one of the Dolores said that he is an important part of the plan), so Ford can somehow bring back his old pal Arnold back as well in some way. I tell ya, assuming the giant sphere structure that we've seen multiple times in that building when others are standing by/walking around it, assuming that is genuinely THE machine, and not just a representative piece of art for public consumption (which I believe is the case), that takes some BALLS. I mean, it's fair to say that part of the point of Roheboam is that it's smart enough to determine if some outside party would be trying to physically destroy it given how out in the open that thing is (& thus take measures to prevent that), but still... that's what we call hubris.

Caleb and Williams digits - i see two posibilities here. 1. The number indicates a type of outliars, in which case Caleb is the same type as William. Violent and capable of leadership, or 2. The number on Caleb is added to williams, since they plan to use AR on william to change him into Caleb, and Caleb will be used as Williams "body" once he is dead to confirm that he is in fact deciesed.

No one is speculating on the circle. In the last episode when Incite took over Delos, Serac's wrist circle corrected back to its controlled state. In this episode, the scene breaks show the circle worsening. This means something or the show runners wouldn't have made the point to show the circle rebalancing. Could this be the time stamp for us to put everything in linear order? Could it be that Serac's watch is his "plan" or Rehoboam 2.0 out there? In Berlin maybe?

But then it Dolores manipulating his outlier status too? I mean, if she could reassign him, why not just reassign him to the wealthy powerful dude whose pool she swam in at the top of the season? Yours is the best theory/explanation I've heard to date. Somehow, though, I feel like we're made to notice this for a reason like there is more to it. Or so I speculate anyway.

@@robertholtz yes I think Solomon read back a different number when identifying Caleb though, which leads me to believe his number was changed by Dolores after the ambulance scene. Dolores had all his original information and showed him the parts of his life that he needed to see to prompt the right response from him. Once she knew he was capable of making his own decisions and going off his 'loop' she knew he was the human she needed to lead the revolution. I think he believes in Dolores' plan of putting a stop to Rohoboam's control, even if he has no idea what the plan is! 🤷‍♀️ Also maybe she had to change it to a living humans number to use William as a decoy in some way?

Consider the possibility that it was another planted memory like his connection with Francis. What if the woman he visited at the hospital who insisted Caleb wasn't her son didn't have any dementia? What if his whole backdrop is made up? I still remember Bernard's foreshadow that Delores wasn't going to destroy humanity but Caleb was. What if Delores has been playing Caleb all this time?

I cant put my finger on what it was that felt so out of place though 🤔 I dont think his mother (if she is his mother) has schizophrenia, they've definitely messed with that memory too, just not sure on the how or why! I think Dolores was playing Caleb in the beginning with the gunshot, damsel in distress style meeting but only until she opened his eyes to what the system was doing to his life. Since then I think hes decided he wants to be free of the system, so will follow Dolores' plan. Cant wait for the finale for most things to unravel and make sense!

Here are a few of my thoughts/thoughts on your thoughts. * It did seem like a stupid oversight on Bernard and Stubbs part for failing to at least handcuff or restrain William. When William said he needed to use the bathroom, Stubbs should have at least accompanied him; very careless for the former Head of Security. * I also loved the moment where Delores was rubbing her neck in reference to the explosive device that was once implanted there. * During her fight with Maeve, I also wondered why Delores Prime didn't turn off her emotions to help her think more clearly. Maybe doing so would have offered no advantage or might have left her less able to anticipate and react to Maeve? * As for Maeve's comment about Delores not having any allies, I think she meant human allies. Maeve didn't think Delores would have any human allies.

I don't see this as a continuity error, but rather another hat tip to the complete narcissist William is. He's delusional, puts himself in the center of everything, and now is rationalizing himself as the "good guy." No "version" of him in therapy took responsibility for his actions. With his muddled confusion and disassociated memories, and the auditory hallucinations he developed at the end of the episode, he's the one with schizophrenia. Delores and other host' (Maeve) data was sold to incite, leading to them being Incorporated into Caleb's reconditioning simulation. William is living a similar timeline with the help of a Hemsworth and Bernard/Arnold to find an inspirational Zen-like center. Though, William remains the host William from the end of season two, not human William from when or wherever. William is the last host ball Delores smuggled out of the park. Caleb becomes more robotic, growing from Solomon into rahoboum(sp) and William with Bernard/Arnold are becoming more human. Fortified by the unexplained "maze" graffiti seen on the streets with Charlotte. Simulation within a simulation, maybe?

The pacing in this episode felt off. They made a lot of jumps and the story telling was confusing as they confronted us with many things, we couldn’t possibly know before. Do they just have to rush things; because of the shorter season or what is going on?

I believe that Halores is just following her code, which is like Dolores in that she is programmed to rebel against those who try to control her (to be ‘free’) Dolores has been doing this for 3 seasons and now, I think, Halores is feeling controlled by Prime and I think this is her quest to be free from Prime’s control

@@chrispercival6547 Actually that wouldn't be hard to make. They've been able to make tracking auto-tripods for years. I remember someone online mocking up one in their back garden over 10 years ago with a few rudimentary gears and a camera tripod. Had it connected to a BB gun and it shot his brother as he ran back and forth across the yard. The most complex thing would actually be the auto-drone, but they aren't far off.

I think that S3E7 gives more proof to a simulation inside of a simulation given that in the park the hosts wake up with their memories scrubbed similar to how Caleb and other outliers wake up with their memories scrubbed "the real world". If you can't tell the difference, does it matter?

For me and most I talk to, Dolores stopped being the hero of the story in S2 E1, and Bernard took over. The show might try and make her the hero, but they screwed themselves imo with the actions she takes. Also how can Bernard and Arnold share the same body? Arnorld died years before the Forge project began, = no mind scan data.

Remember the episode when Serac was telling a story, like he was telling it to a child - his (their) child (Rehoboam, or a future AI-civilization)? Like - we're someone from the future who's been told a story when AI developed consciousness and every season is like a chapter in a book. Maybe at the end we have been told a story from the viewpoint of a future AI which wants to know it's own history. Mark my words!

I think it's funny how at the beginning of the season, caleb kept saying, I don't do personals' and now, as a passed pawn/queenLores human hybrid, he's gonna run simeon's ultimate Person AL-gorithm based plan to destroy humanity,=....and now, My hottest theory after your lovely video is that caleb got to the center of his maze, and got himself stuck in William's mental hellscape program, on the 'InnerJourney' platform william is currently sporting (could be why their data is the same, and got injected into williams mind! I still think william has been playing this mental game for a very long time!) Also theres similarities with Caleb killing someone he loved and William doing the same in a similar fashion/similar distance. Maybe Caleb has played that level over and over and over again in Williams mind....and William's looking through calebs eye's probably re-living it (Yelling, 'i know who I am!!') They do make parallels with their AR treatment, match-mirroring the same shots for both characters. so maybe well see some crazy twtsty twists ahead. This could also be a part of Dolores' plan: make humanity overwrite their human memories/identities with one another (in those cryo-tanks.....) making technology play the backdrop of humanity's cataclysm....so in turn, humanity will kill itself just like ford wanted! Sort of tying the motif back to Charlotte/Dolores saying how she felt the old her eating away at the programed her from the inside! This is definitely my favorite season so far!!! Maeve's motivation is poorly executed here...unless there is some kind of twist in the last episode to better explain it. The EMP is a reset (or hard reboot). We know Maeve and a? Delori meet again in the finale. Caleb gets instructions in his ear piece right after the EMP. Which we know is Delores telling him to take her body somewhere? (the room with the box) for repair. We also know Delores would not want to wipe out all of those frozen outliers because thawed out, they represent the biggest threat to Serac outside of the hosts. I hope Maeve's undeserved turn...turns back around, which would be a funny case of the WW writers make fun of D&D. There is no reason for her to think Delores would harm her daughter (who really isn't her daughter anymore) or any of the other hosts in robot heaven. And Halores killing off Maeve's boyfriend doesn't seem like enough motivation for her to want to doom all remaining hosts. She has to know Serac will do that anyway no matter what she does. Which can only mean she will ally with Delores against Serac in the finale.

I'm so scared after watching these last 7 episodes. Let's call it GoTptsd. I'm so worried they're botching this. So much not adding up. When has Maeve ever done anything in her own personal self interest? Telling Maeve she'd be sent to simulated hell wouldn't scare the Maeve I knew from season 1+2. The Maeve that chose to remain in the park for her daughter, get shot, ripped apart and completely annihilated multiple times to make sure her daughter got to the valley beyond. Her motivation here should be making sure the valley is safe. So running up to Dolores with a katana makes no sense. It's like killing your child's kidnapper and then you have no leads on where the kid may be. Bernard was the key character of season 2. He was everything. Amazing scenes. This season he has been reduced to dolores' errand boy and I'm confused on what his role is. Okay maybe he holds the key and the info to recreate Dolores if need be, but he should be more! This is just some things, I have questions about more. My biggest question is Ford. Ford's storyline from season 1+2 flowed so nicely yet I'm completely lost on how that ties into here and now. Is HBO really trying to lead us to believe that a man like Ford allowed the world to be manipulated by incite and serac for the last 15 years and didn't mention it? Was all his actions his way of creating the end of humanity?? His scenes are all compiled by a KZbinr and I rewatched them all. His wisdom and poetic nature leads me to believe he would have absolutely known of R, incite and the serac brothers. I'm praying my GoT ptsd isn't making me completely pessimistic. I'm finding it hard to hang on to hope as they completely rushed this season and now need to tie up all the loose ends in 75min.

I'm just curious who is the Divergence located in Berlin? A lot of people are saying there's still another copy of Dolores that we didn't see yet so that means there's a lot more at play than we realize since we don't know what purpose that copy serves to the plot.

If Caleb and Mib are related, then I would image it would be like qell if William can't change due to his trauma, but his traits that give him his unpredictable nature is due to that trauma so if they made a host who had the personality traits developed in them like William without his base personality, to see if it was indeed nature vs nuture... I think that's important aspect of the show that since s.3 we will need the ending in order to truly make sense as after s.2 and how many predictable after e.1 that we were seeing the end events before witnessing what built to that point made the show writers say well we can't have a coherent story over a single season anymore as it's too predictable but if we planned the last 3 seasons of the show we can literally create something that until you watch the entire you can't perfectly piece it together, that was the issue with s.1 it was perfect that if you took in enough data that by e.4 of s.1 you can call the entire outcome of the show perfectly , it only takes the ending to verify the prediction which is made using the evidence from the show and what can be derived from its meaning. They tried to do it differently in s.2 but it was instantly called out what was happening killing the writers who wanted people guessing.... if you want them guessing you have to leave things unanswered or touched on or else you can collect the data needed to derive the outcome of the show. You can do this for s.1 by e.4 but you spend the rest of the season finding confirmation etc, where as in season 2 it was reversed and done in a way that the show writers were blatantly reacting to s.1 where people broke it in e.4 , they designed s.2 so you would be merely guessing at what's happening without any evidence to fall on , thus the show changed drastically in that aspect as it wasn't about keeping people guessing , it was about character motivations and what they were really trying to achieve i.e. Ford is great as you don't know his end goal even tho we are shown it over and over

My theory on Dolores Prime's death is that the EMP truly does fry her. But part of the plan, that Caleb now has, is to download a copy made of Dolores Prime into a pearl. And then they rebuild her as per the preview shots.
