I don't understand your analysis of them being opposing forces. Yes, on one hand the target is their overseers (supply), and on the other it is the guests (demand). But steer charging into Delos security guards make for just as dead humans. If anything, Maeve and Delores have been and continue to be complimentary.

I think there is good debate if Meave is apart of "Journey into Night" or if she belong's to someone else's narrative (Arnold, James Delos) and that they are running competing narratives--which reflect The war within (Meave/Arnold) and the war without (Dolores/Ford) and/or which part of that "body" has more control (the mind, the body, or the heart)?? But the introduction of James, I think puts an interesting third party into all of this--I'm curious to see where he fits into these ideas!

Teddy always talked to Dolores about where the mountains met the sea....So that dream motived them to explore out the park maybe as a result of ford story lines.....The scene of the father of Dolores being strapped down with the image of young ford in the back ground....Ford said that self awareness was due to a back story of pain....maybe they are getting the robots to relive every death they experienced in the park.....also if their was a Barnard robot, why not a ford robot, there was a whole family replica of ford as a child....maybe there are multiple fords.....maybe that is how ford envisage his immortality. .
