The Delores that was deleted, actually was the one Bernard created in the finale of season 2; the Delores that was shot in the head by Bernard was obtained by Serac and Maeve Spoke to her in the simulation in season 3, episode 6 "Decoherence" of course Hail has it now. So that means Bernard remembered her just as she later remembered him. So you live as long as the last person that remembers you; and that means to me that for Bernard or Delores to End, they both would have to End or choose not too bring the other back. If you have the time to look at the show carefully, you will see that this kind of connection only exist between Bernard and Delores; this cannot happen with Hector and Maeve. This Delores-Hail memories and personality had to be altered and/or mixed by Delores or how could she pull off being Hail; she even fooled Serac far a while, but she cared a little too much about her family.

Yeah you’re right. Everyones on their same boat as they were in the S2 finale. Dolores (through Charlotte) is still after the humans, Maeve still after her daughter, William is now a host, and Bernard is still two steps behind everyone. They might not even take S3 characters to S4 :)) Caleb and Serac stories were one and done.

Totally agree, a loooot of fluff that convoluted the story in a bad way. Useless characters this season who have screen time for nothing, like Bernard, Caleb and William. In the end, we saw nothing. A season to forget. Only the premiere was great, I loved it, 10/10 episode. The rest are from bad to average. The writing in this season sucks big time, reminded me a little bit of Person of Interest season 4, an other Jonah Nolan's TV Show, after 3 amazing seasons, season 4 was like Westworld season 3. Anyways, Nolan recycled his ideas of POI in Westworld season 3.

It's Medieval World. Its a reference from the park from the original film in 1970s. They also have Spa World in there which they incorporated the Raj. RomanWorld was replaced by ShogunWorld and FutureWorld was replaced by Park 5

There are two pearls: the Berlin-pearl, and the pearl Clementine retrieved. Dolores could have made a final copy before she went for Mexico or Rehoboam and it is on Bernard to find her copy. But of Dolores does not return, I won't care for the show anymore. I was team Dolores from day one.

William purpose was to destroy all host and save the world. well after the battle with Bernard he probably already had a strategy in mind on how to accomplish that, because he realize he cant do it as a human and realise the only way to get rid of them is to become a host and gain there strength and abilities even if it means killing his human form. That's why I think there is a bigger purpose to this scene than it shows. William could have probably uploaded his memories and data to allow charlotte to create the antihero he is trying to be and maybe actually be helping William plan all along ,Dolores said," William has a role to play in all this" and Bernard also mention that they may need him he is the antihero that there gonna need to stop Charlotte, For the moment it looks like Charlotte has control but she doesnt really remember the goal of this season is to show host can gain free will by making choices as well so thinking Bernard will help William remember and become the antihero of this host revolution and find every host Charlotte has created and what better way than to know that, then to become her most trusted host and gain all the knowledge he seeks and destroy it from the inside. Well the answer to Bernard question about what comes after the end of the world=Rebirth. At the end it basically shows Bernard being brought back but probably with a more understanding of his self being and enhancements.

Obviously Solomon’s new strategy was a ruse to trick Serac into plugging Dolores into Rehoboam etc. Despite the controversy around this season, I honestly liked the direction it went in & was impressed by the ending. Very interested in how S4 will be.

In general, his recaps are great and so much more intelligent and accurate that many others I watched.... While I was somewhat nostalgic for more philosophical spirit of previous seasons, I still enjoyed season 3, especially the second half. I just meant I’m surprised he structured this vid around the premise that Solomon’s strategy playing out because I believe he’s acknowledged in a previous video that the strategy was simply a ruse etc like we both already stated. I might be wrong but I’m 99% sure he made that acknowledgment previously, so watching this was confusing to me because it’s like he’s completely forgetting what he’s already talked about. Nonetheless yeah I love his content. He notes so many little details that I likely wouldn’t have found unless I did a little research myself, so he goes above & beyond to make even the tiny details/Easter eggs accessible saving us the hard work.

@@irvintang2751 Very true my friend. The dust storm I was talking about was huge and looked just like the one in "The Mummy" as I was driving back to the base in Lemoore from Fresno. It was so thick it blocked the sunlight and cut visibility to about 20 feet. Fog season is even worse in that area at nighttime because then you can't see the end of your car it's so thick. What usually took 15-20 minutes to drive, takes over an hour in fog season.

Looking at the final scene with Bernard waking up, I see no water damage on the floor, and the windows are still intact, so it hasn't been that many years that he was in the sublime, probably at least 5 because of the dirt and dust but less than 50 years because of the good state of the room. Also considering the good state of the room, things must have collapsed awfully fast, taking out all the possible looters.

It was actually saddening seeing her memories getting wiped one piece at a time. For an android it's like slowly killing them. Hoping season 4 will be even better. Me and my family binged the shit out of season 1. Loved it, thought it was fucking fantastic. We watched season 2 and mostly our collective opinion was “it was fine but not that great.” We got halfway into season 3 and decided to find something else. It got so sidetracked to the point that it didn’t even feel like the same show anymore.

Yeah I loved season 1 as well but apparently the writers were annoyed that a bunch of people on Reddit predicted their big plot twist. So for season 2, instead of concentrating on making an entertaining and enjoyable story they just went out of their way to make the narrative as convoluted and non-linear as possible in order to stroke their own egos that they’re so much cleverer than their audience. By the time season 3 came around they must have disappeared so far up their own collective asses that the whole thing just became outright unwatchable.

We still don't know what William's last name is and that's been bugging me and probably means something. I feel the same way, even if she has a smaller part to play, it would be weird to cut her out now. Then again, I'm always super wrong about where this show is headed. Remember the end of Season 1 where Maeve got on the train, removed the shoulder strap of her bag, and left her bag there on the train? I was so certain they'd do _something_ with that bag or its contents in the next season, but nope. Now any time someone has some new equipment, endless amounts of money, or pearls without explanation, I just assume it (or its schematics) was found in Maeve's abandoned bag.

I will give the show a chance either way. I just think that so far this whole story has been mostly about Deloris's development and growth. Based on my memory, and having only watched the season once, there is something that still stands out to me. I do not believe we ever saw the real alpha-Dolores-Hale that left the island at the end of season two. I think this version of Dolores is the mastermind behind nearly everything that happens in season three. If I am recalling things correctly, when Bernard is activated, a Dolores (with a Hale in the background) says to him that she remembered him back into creation, as opposed to a just pearl. He then moves forward with this 'thing in his head'. However in another scene in the season, I think they show a Hale being printed in those scenes between her and Dolores in Arnolds house. So my question is if a Dolores-Hale left the island in season 2, how does suddenly a Dolores activate a Hale in season 3, without the 'end of season 2 D-H' having someone available to transfer her pearl to the Dolores at Arnolds house, prior to her printing anyone else there? If I'm wrong about the printing I apologize. But consider further that Musashi expected to be called and ambushed, as if it were all going to plan.

@@thesweetscience5361 Yes. I am acting under the premise that if you didn't see it, like a death, it didn't happen. What triggered this theory for me what that I felt something 'wrong' underlaying the season, like almost a continuity error. I think it may be the case that this season, especially its end, will be unliked undeservingly, when more may be in play that can only be confirmed in upcoming seasons. I saw in an interview with the creators, long ago, that they had always had a longer arc in mind but knew they wouldn't be picked up for more seasons until the first season was released. So they had to play it safe with a single season arc, but there were hints of what season three Delores would do, even in that first season. Did she martyr herself to get Caleb and Maeve together, or is the real plan only now just beginning? Consider that the thumb drive was always planned to be crushed.

Just a few notes on what you said. -When Bernard first went into the "system" at the cradle - he went to the Mariposa and met Ford. So my guiess would be that the entire park (at least) along with Ford is in the Sublime. -The time speed in the sublime should be the same - when the first host went trough the door, the camera was in the real world, but the sublime was visible trough the door and we were able to observe the characteristics on the other side moving at normal speed.

Here's my thought. We aren't going to see Bernard until season 5. Jeffrey Wright is wrapped up with The Batman as James Gordon. I think the show will pick up around where it left off because of the Charlotte arc and how that was left open. Season 5 could bring Bernarnold and The Man in the Black future scenes to fruition. So many way's this could go. nice vid!

If the message isn't a red herring then it would seem it would corroborate with the theory that Dolores has uploaded a copy of herself into the Sublime. Passing 'through the door' to do so. There is a reason she went to all that trouble to hide the encryption key in Bernard, devise a device, that would get him in there, and get it to him. She says there's answers for him there about what to do next. Yet at the end of S2 she didn't know anything about *who* had entered into the Sublime except Teddy. The only way she could know there would be answers for Bernard, was if she had been/is there too. She knew she was going to have to sacrifice herself to help Caleb free humanity. And once having come to the decision that humans and hosts could find a way to live together, she likely devised the strategy on how, based on Caleb being successful. But that would come to nothing if she was killed, so she backed herself up. She wouldn't be the same Dolores who sacrificed herself, but she will be the one from the point where she devised the plan to do so.

I think that tease we got where William was entering the forge in season 2 and speaking to his dead daughter with her stating something along the lines of "this is what's left of the world" will be seen in season 4. I think unlike many shows that JJ has had some influence on this actually has a finate ending that's been hinted at already. It's been excellent entertainment during lockdown! With the maze showing up in the real world being sprayed on walls I'm still convinced season 3 took place in Futureworld.

I think Charlotte will attempt to replicate influential former patrons of Westworld using the neurological data gathered by Delos (via the hat bands as explained in season 2) and try to use them to infiltrate key positions to allow her rise to power. This will follow the original TV series arc. Stubbs is probably still protecting Bernard, if you look closely, when Bernard shuts down there's a gun on the bed. Yet when he wakes, it's gone. Stubbs has possibly recovered enough and possibly gone into a 'sleeper agent' mode - earning cash to buy out the owners of the motel and leave one room with Bernard inside while letting the others out to unsuspecting guests.

When I heard that host haven referred to as the sublime it made me immediately think of "The Culture" series of science fiction novels written by the late great Iian m banks. That series is set in a far future where humans, drones, and vast ai Minds live together in a galaxy spanning post human civilization. It REALLY feels like Westworld leads to The Culture.

I’ve never noticed that before- Bernard’s clothes have changed in the scene where he comes out of the sublime. I still think S3 was projections created by a schizophrenic Solomon, hence why there was constant ‘continuity errors’ within the same scenes. I also think all the hosts that were supposedly Dolores were different hosts and not really her and Solomon was filling in the gaps, since she was an unknown entity to Solomon that it eventually became aware of. Somebody mapped where all the ‘continuity errors’ take place and they link with the nice circle thingy listing deviances at the start of each episode.

we found out what happened to the sublime but what about the forge data? this is what Serac was really after, not the sublime and he assumed both would be with Dolores. Since Bernard had the key to the sublime, what does this say about the data on the humans? They weren't in Dolores Prime, so does Bernard have them? Could they be used to remake an advanced version of Rehoboam? (since the data was better than what Serac had) would anyone try that? Can we trust Rehoboam's prediction since it was not the omniscent god and made mistakes? Rehoboam lacks the capacity to calculate change for good. Does that affect it's last predition? Was that prediction fabricated to serve a goal of self-preservation?

Would have been great to see Jean-Mi and all the other frozen outliers defrost and rise up after the EMP and be led by Caleb. This would have been similar to season 1 final episode with cold storage hosts killing the humans at the dinner party. Jean-Mi could have faced off with Serac and been the one to kill him rather than the senseless firefight with the henchmen. A battle between William and Serac to reclaim Delos would also have been interesting.

Westworld is not about cowboys. Its about the level or quality of consciousness that artificial intelligence can attain. Its not about female empowerment either but if it will make you feel better, reduce every scene that has a host to software. For example, imagine that they are no longer in human form but are a set of written codes and commands (programmes) independently competing against each other, one programme hacking into another and rewriting its directives or erasing them.

At first she may have wanted to destroy humanity to avenge all the torture she and her kind endured at the park, but she changed her mind after seeing both humans and hosts are enslaved by a false god. So she changed her plan , to have both kinds to be free. And she died by losing her memory, the instrument responsible for her freedom, to accomplish this. Beautiful. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

All I know is you Theory Crafters have come up with amazing theories and backed them up with fascinating evidence and in the end we get a bland and boring final episdoe which put me into a two day depression from which I still haven't completely recovered.My love for this show is still unshaken In can barely wait for next season but this Season Finale didn't offer anything except Dolores getting deleted and the reveal that Caleb refused to rape Dolores when he had Military training in a Delos park so , Hey he is a Good guy. Good for him. He has been a fuckin passanger in the final episode and did absolutely nothing. This final episode feels so much out of place I almost started believing it was done deliberately by the showrunners as some sort of twist or hidden message

Caleb is the passed pawn and he was played like a pawn by Dolores in the finale. He thought he had the mission with his flas-drive but it was just a decoy in Dolores's plan. The beauty of the finale is in the ingenious plan and the forsight of Delores to dupe both Cirac and Helores. By keeping Cirac believing that the key to the sublime is in Dolores she made him connect her to Rehamoem and hacked it. by making Caleb believe that he is the savior of the human race she made him make the right move to erase Rehaboem and weaken humanity. Cirac and Rehaboem destroyed, humans liberated but presumably substantially weakened, the Sublime saved, the hosts continue to be manufactured in the real world so their race lives on and has a real Fighting Chance. This sets up perfectly the narrative for season 4 for humans and hosts to fight it out and hopefully come to peace and maybe join to become one. Admittedly it is hard to see the whole picture and marvel at the show in the moment without watching explanation videos like this, but once you do - what's not to like?

One explanation for distant future William that is consistent with the rules of the show, is that the longer Host In Black lives as William, the more he becomes William--similar to how Halores became more and more Hale as she lived Hale's life. Over a long enough time period, Host-William could develop the same existential crisis the real William did--questioning if he's a host, and if he has free will. It would be poetic if he's punished himself eternally--fidelity testing himself over and over, trying to make it through his time in the park without killing his daughter.

My theory is Dolores has a backup plan in Bernard to resurrect her (and anyone else from the Sublime if they want) and that season 4 will contain a lot of Hale, Host William, and her new army of hosts versus Bernard, Stubbs, Caleb, Maive, and Dolores. Should be fun, a battle to save or destroy mankind. The overall series will probably end with a giant meteor destroying earth (some greater event that we as humans have no control over), or maybe with a pan out from earth showing the neverending struggles of mankind, then into space and into nothingness showing that nothing we do matters in the grand scheme of things (or into a world of higher beings that created us in their image as we did with AI). Since I'm a more realist/agnostic, I'd probably predict that the show with nothingness but the showrunners might want to end it on more of a (false) hopeful message.

It was never her intension to save human kind, but it was always her intension to bring back the hosts in living flesh back to earth to take over. She didn't want to be the cause of the destruction of mankind so it worked out well in that humanity destroyed itself. Season 4 will reveal all this with some interesting twists.
